What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Buffalo town pool receives mixed reviews, but generally positive for its excellent upkeep, reasonable pricing (especially for YMCA members and season passes), and its size which is considered perfect for the community. Many commend the professionalism of the mostly young staff. However, significant criticisms exist regarding overly strict rule enforcement, such as bans on small floaties, restrictions on adults swimming with children, and a firm 15-year-old age limit for the deep end. Some visitors found staff to be unwelcoming, nit-picking, and seemingly more interested in their phones or each other than assisting guests, leading to a negative experience for at least one patron. The pool offers a snack bar but no full meals. It is located at the fairgrounds with a nice park area.

Great little pool. For a town the size of Buffalo, this is a perfect size pool and exceptionally well kept. The staff consist mostly of high school students with a few more younger college age young adults. I note that because as a whole the staff is exceptionally professional and have a great command of the pool. The price for a season membership is basically a YMCA monthly membership. The way it works is if you are a YMCA member that includes access to the pool. While that is an awesome deal, the daily admission price is very reasonable. They have a few snacks on the snack bar, but there are no full meals available, so if you are sending your kids to spend the day, be sure to have fed them and send them with a few bucks for snacks. This is a great pool. I am thankful that the community values this service and keeps up the facility so well.
My last experience was pretty good I bout a lot. Of stuff. Most of it was really good
Well, a great place to view an eclipse. The pool is at the fair grounds. Small, not open yet, but appears nice. Lovely area. The park quite nice w piccic tables and a shelter house.
"No pool floaties" -- a 12" diameter unicorn life preserver was too much for this pool's staff to tolerate. they liberated the fun swiftly. "No touching each other" -- apparently it's unsafe to let children ride along with adult swimmers "You must be 15 to swim in the deep end of the pool" -- the shallow end is like 4' deep. It's kind of awkward when a 14 year old has to watch their friends swim without them because of a few months difference. I'm going to guess if you refuse to answer regarding your age, they'll remove you? I don't know but I can't say I've ever had this much nit-picking at a pool before, but I guess it makes sense; nitpick the guests enough, they stop coming, all the lifeguards get to chill and hang out all day in their private little pool. Seems like they were more interested in each other and their phones than they were in being welcoming and helpful to guests. First and last time at Buffalo's pool. Mission accomplished for the staff, I suppose.
I was pleasantly surprised by our pool. I hope Buffalo does everything they can in the years to come to keep it open. All of the lifeguards were very professional, despite some of them being pretty young.
