I was very disappointed overall. We arrived and there was no one on site to let us in. Approximately 1 hour after our scheduled checkin time we checked the back door and it was open. We called ahead of time to let them know we were on our way but no one answered so i left a message. No one ever returned my call but sent me a message about 6 pm with the code to get in which was 3 hours after checkin time which was all paid in advance. We reserved a boat slip but never used it because my wife has a bad back and it was quite the hill for her. We used a public boat ramp not too far away because the access was so much more convenient. They had a drop box to pay for ice but no ice available. Good thing i checked before i put money in the box. I sent Lisa i guess it is a message about the code to the room not being sent until 6 pm and also about the fact that we never used the boat slip we prepaid for but no response. Very poor service and communication in my opinion!! They could at least offer a refund back on the boat slip we never used and a 3 hour reimbursement for not really having access to the cabin until 6pm. I am sure they would charge if you stayed past your checkout time. We even left early because we were so disappointed the service and communication!!

It's an older resort off the beaten trail but has access to the lake at the bottom of the hill. There is a pool and a small play area. Not much parking around the cabins. It is great for a weekend getaway!

Beautiful petite resort, out of the way of traffic, set on a scenic over look of the lake, access to the water, had a great time, clean pool and pool area. Would visit again!

We love coming down to Hickory Grove Hideaway! Lisa is great. We've been about three times a summer for the last 5 years or so.

If you're looking for a fancy place this isn't it. Our cabin was clean and it had a nice view. If you're into anything more than basic cooking I would bring my own knives. Other than that this is exactly what is advertised. A hideaway! 3-4 miles down a dirt road in the woods. Very quiet. Very relaxing.
