What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews consistently praise the front desk staff, often describing them as very nice, helpful, and apologetic. However, nearly all other aspects of the motel receive overwhelmingly negative feedback. Common complaints include severe cleanliness issues, with rooms described as dirty, dingy, moldy, and smelling of smoke. Reviewers reported finding dead bugs, food in the fridge, dirty microwaves, drink rings on furniture, uncleaned lamp switches, and filthy bathrooms with tiny, possibly re-milled soap. The general condition of the property is poor, with missing and water-stained ceiling tiles in the lobby, broken door locks, crumbling walls, non-working refrigerators, worn-down furniture, sagging beds, and dirty bedding (stained, yellowed, covered in dog hair). Several guests expressed significant concerns about COVID-19 safety, noting a lack of mask-wearing by staff and guests, and no evidence of enhanced cleaning protocols. The quality of amenities, such as a poor breakfast and a dirty "kitchenette," was also criticized. Guests were also unhappily surprised by a $100 incidental deposit at check-in, with some expressing doubt about its return or being required to pay in cash. Housekeeping was noted as inadequate, often only emptying trash. Overall, reviewers strongly advise against staying at this motel, despite the positive interaction with the front desk.

The front desk person was very nice. My first clue was the very dirty door to the room. The phone was filthy and the rest of the room was rather dingy. My room was at the back of the building where it was a little dark and kind of creepy. To be fair, I asked for a smoking room so I understand they probably put the smokers as far away from non-smoking guests as possible. It's a good thing I always travel with my own soap because the soap they furnished was a tiny sliver, in fact it looked like it may have been remilled from left over soap and repackaged. The bathtub was not very clean so I cleaned it before I took a shower. All in all, for the price of the room I didn't expect the Hilton but still I thought it could have been a little cleaner and the soap could have been a little bigger.
I give this place one star. Only because the lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful..otherwise I would give no stars. I stayed one night but wont stay again. The lobby had ceiling tiles that were either missing or had water stains and mold. The room smelled old and moldy and like cigarette smoke. With the current pandemic you would think that. They would have made sure all the rooms were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and that there would be extra cleaning and disinfecting done between guests..but the room was dirty, like it hadnt been really cleaned in awhile. There was food still in the fridge, the microwave was dirty, there were lots of dead bugs in the corners of the room, The desk, dresser and nightstands all had drink cup rings on them...so I know they hadnt been cleaned. The lamp switches were all very dirty like they never get cleaned and the door had finger prints all up and down it...It hadnt been cleaned in quite awhile. Which leads me to believe that the handles werent disinfected, or the buttons on the a/c or the tv remote, or the iron or blow dryer.. Even the toilet was dirty...yuck! I spoke with the lady at the front desk and she was very apologetic and helpful. She had some disinfecting cleaner which I borrowed and cleaned and disinfected the room myself. Oh..I was also charged a $100 deposit for 'incidentals' when I checked in..(??!!) .I paid that with my card, but probably should have given cash to be sure I get it back. Someone else mentioned that they hadnt received theirs back yet...if you ask me, I should have charged THEM $100 for having to clean the room myself. I would not recommend this dump to anyone..they should be shut down..Im sure there are some rules they should be following in order to stay running while keeping their guests safe. They clearly are not concerned about exposing their guests to Covid19, and are not interested in making the guests feel safe and comfortable.. Dont go to this motel.. .
This is NOT a COVID-safe motel. There were no masks in sight. During my check-in, guests and friends of the staff kept walking into the lobby without masks and the staff did nothing to enforce mask wearing. The front desk staff kept her mask on some of the time, but kept taking it off. She was also coughing excessively but informed me it was "just bronchitis". As other reviewers have mentioned, this place is gross and falling apart. The lobby ceiling tiles are half missing, half stained and leaking. There were bugs in the sink in my room. Also the lock for the door was ripped off the wall, so it didn't feel very safe. I would definitely never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.
The hotel is trash. The hotel makes no effort to make your stay worth it. Our fridge didn't work and they wouldn't replace it so we lost food and warm drinks. The housekeeping didn't do their job at all. Trash was taken out and that was it. Sheets and blankets were dirty and they didn't have any extra pillows they could spare for us. To many people living here full time. Some rooms have people in an out all night (counted ten in one night just for one room) the lobby is disgusting but matches the rooms perfectly. Breakfast is old bread fruit loops and gas station mini doughnuts. Were not picky by no means and just needed a place to sleep but this was about as pathetic as it gets. The positive the lady at the front desk was really nice.
If I could give negative stars I would! The website shows bright, clean rooms...not the case AT ALL. Lobby roof was leaking everywhere and missing 1/4 of the ceiling tiles. "Kitchenette" in our room was flithy. Had coffee and coffee maker but no cups. Furniture and carpet in the room was terribly worn down the beds sag in the middles. Floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed after the last people left, or ever. Bed was absolutely covered in long white dog hairs as was the chair, stained sheets on both beds and yellowed pillows. Water was luke warm at best. Wall behind toilet was crumbling literally abd wet. Smoke detector beeped all night. To top it all off, we had to wait for them to count the pillows and towels in our room before we could check out and get our $100 CASH ONLY deposit back (which we weren't told about "said deposit" until we checked in). Then when I asked why they told me it was due to COVID19, a new policy since being allowed to reopen people where stealing their room appliances and bedding. BEWARE THE RAT TRAP.
