About

The Lakes at Wild Horse, located at 4497 E Division St, Springfield, MO, is an independent living community designed for individuals aged 55 and older. It offers a range of apartment homes with amenities such as full kitchens, a fitness center, library, beauty salon, and a variety of social activities and services, aiming to provide a comfortable and engaging lifestyle for its residents.

The community features a heated indoor pool for residents' enjoyment. Specific temperature details for the pool are not publicly available, but it is maintained to provide a comfortable swimming environment.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The area is generally praised for being clean, uncongested, and having friendly neighbors, with some positive feedback on facilities. However, significant concerns exist regarding property value and development practices; residents feel the developer is allowing lower-value, "cookie-cutter" homes to be built in upscale sections without expanding services, diminishing investments made by existing homeowners. Infrastructure issues include dangerous old roads with poor visibility, prolonged power outages after severe weather, and a substantial increase in traffic (especially semi-trucks from Springfield Underground) that lacks adequate control or road repairs.

Located in a clean and uncongested part of town and at little risk of severe flooding. Of benefit were the dozens of dairies in the area that maintained and kept a somewhat pristine environment and mostly kept out small and poorly planned residential areas until more thoughtful, but far from perfect, subdivisions were developed. The big drawback is the use of the old horse and wagon roads in the area. Their labyrinthine layout and T intersections with poor visibility of oncoming traffic is dangerous. One can be without electric power for as much as five days after a severe ice storm.

I can't believe the developer has allowed multiple Trendsetter Cantrell cookie cutter shacks to be built to complete the development in the Wild Horse section around people who actually developed beautiful homes costing much more than the homes going in on the east side of Wild Horse Drive. That says a lot about the lack of respect the developer has for those who truly made huge investments in their dream houses. I would be truly upset based on some of the upscale houses that will soon be facing overpriced cookie cutters built by Trendsetter. You have to laugh at what Trendsetter is offering at almost half a million, especially their version of a third-car garage.

Property over priced and now they are adding homes of lesser value without expanding services etc. Springfield underground is close by so alot of Semi trucks plus traffic has tripled in the last 2 years but no traffic control or caution light nor repairs to old country highway
