It is important to support family owned operations. I get it - sometimes when traveling to unknown places, the major hotel chains offer a sense of trust that things will be clean, the price will be competitive, etc. However, it is a pleasure to find something like The Riverside Inn, in Cold Spring, MN. All staff were friendly and caring. The rooms were clean and nice, the pool and hot tub were well maintained and clean. The breakfast had a lot of choices and was well-stocked. These people take their business seriously and I only wish there were more around like this on our journeys, because, as I said above, it is important to support family owned and local businesses.

Rooms are cute with the themes, main areas are up north feel and very well kept. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was OK, staff gave awesome service. Pool area was really nice with outdoor views and the water in pool was warmer than most other pools I have been in. Close to St Cloud as my mom was in the hospital there. Would highly recommend staying here.

What a treat to find something other than another chain hotel in St. Cloud. In the 2 star hotel category the Riverside Inn gets a definite 5 star review. Convenient, clean, comfy bed, decent breakfast, and super friendly. I love finding places like this along the road.

Rooms were clean but musty smell. Was disappointed in the small, uncomfortable bed. Also the shower and toilet were very small. Good for a shorter person under 5 feet maybe. Nice location in cold springs. We were in the Paris room. Oh la la. I think.

Wow. We stayed in the Jaws room and the decor was all out. Very, very creative. The staff were friendly and helpful and their free coffee was actually quite delicious. The hot tub wasn't quite as hot as we would have liked but the people were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay!
