What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the venue highlight its gorgeous, modern, and well-maintained facilities, particularly the golf course and pool, which is praised as a 'divine' oasis with crystal-clear water and attentive staff. Guests consistently praise the fantastic food, from event catering to discounted chicken wings and restaurant dinners. Excellent customer service, such as Gail's willingness to go above and beyond during unexpected closures, is also noted. The venue is popular for events and family activities, often described as 'magical.' However, a significant negative experience involved an accusation of racial discrimination and inconsistent rule enforcement by the owner on the golf course, leading one guest to warn non-white visitors of potential unwelcome treatment.

I came here for a graduation event. The place was absolutely gorgeous and had a great modern feel. The golf course outside was so incredibly pretty. The place seemed really well maintained. The person throwing the event said they didn’t even have to do anything, all she got was balloons and they took care of the rest. The food was fantastic! Seems like a very classy place!

"This pool is absolutely divine! From the crystal-clear water to the meticulously maintained surroundings, it's a true oasis. The perfect temperature, ample seating, and a serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking to swim laps, lounge in the sun, or simply enjoy a refreshing dip, this pool exceeds all expectations. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. Without a doubt, this is a 5-star pool I’ve been a member for years and will be until I die.

You load the kids up. Pack the sunscreen, towels and extra things you need before piling into the car for an afternoon of sun, swimming and snacks. Mother nature had other plans. Lightning, clouds and wind storms. All as we unload and they are closing everything down. We decide to head in to the clubhouse for food, yet everything is closing down. Double whammy! Gail - the front of house manager came out and made sure we had a few snacks and hydration before we headed out to brave the elements. None of this was her job and she didn't have to do it. She went out of her way to make sure we were taking care of. Whether you're a member or someone who's stopping by for a day pass this is absolutely a place you want to take your family and spend time. Cheers, Kolby

This place is always magical. It is really busy in the summertime (especially now after everyone was kept up from COVID). We love coming here on Sunday’s for their discounted chicken wings ($0.75), which are always really good! The pool is always fun and the diving board is a blast. We’ve also gone to the restaurant for dinner a few times and have not been disappointed.

At around 8:00 pm, I was on the golf course with my 15 year old son, we were chipping and I was showing my son how to hit a golf ball, l did this because there is no driving range at this course anymore. I know the sign says private property and no swimming or fishing in the ponds, no walking your dogs etc, which I have seen people do every day since I’ve been here for the last 5 days. I admit, I was in the wrong and should have checked into the pro shop. There was nobody on the course when we were approached by the owner of Bloomington Country Club who was driving his white golf cart with NY stickers on it. He asked if I snuck on the golf course, I told him we were staying at the villas and we just came out to play around for a bit. He told me I wasn’t dressed right and did not have the right golf entire on. He told me the the course was not free and told me to leave $20 at the pro shop when I was done. I have been coming to the Bloomington Country Club for the last four years and was well welcomed until this rude encounter today. There was kids fishing on the first 18th hole pond and swimming when we were approached by the owner, but it seemed to be ok to do that maybe because they were white and we are Hispanic. After me and my son got done chipping around for 15 minutes. I walked to the pro shop to leave my $20 dollars as asked by the owner, unfortunately the pro shop was closed so I tipped the cart boy. I guess it’s ok to swim in the ponds and do yoga on the 18th green as shown in the photos below but it’s not ok to show your kid how to hit a golf ball. If you not white, beware of staying at the Bloomington Villas because your not welcomed.
