About

Kid-friendly outdoor pool with looping slides, a lazy river, lap lanes, a splash area and a diving board.

While specific daily temperatures are not consistently published, the pools at William L. Welch Community Pool are generally heated and maintained at a comfortable recreational temperature to ensure an enjoyable swimming experience for all patrons.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Welsh pool receives mixed but generally positive reviews. Many highly praise its wide array of activities, including a rock wall, multiple slides, a lazy river, a whirlpool, lap swimming lanes, and a dedicated play area for small children. Reviewers often describe the atmosphere as nice, the water as refreshing, and appreciate amenities such as grassy areas, abundant tables, and available snacks. However, significant concerns were raised by one user regarding cleanliness, citing bugs and used bandaids in the water, and unhelpful staff when issues were reported. Another review noted a rough pool bottom that caused injury. Despite these criticisms, several reviews commend the overall cleanliness, leading to contrasting opinions on this aspect. While some find the cost high for a single visit, a season pass is recommended for frequent attendees.

It's a nice pool and my granddaughter and her friend love it so many activities to do but the bottom of the pool is ruff and my granddaughter's friend Emma when she got out her big toes were bleeding

Want to swim with bugs and old used bandaids in the pool come to the Welsh pool. I asked the front desk if they could net the bugs out and I was told that I had to go around and track down their manager. $35 for 2 kids and an adult to swim in a pool with bugs and used bandaids floating around and no people around who actually want to work to keep the place clean.

Very nice pool to be at! The atmosphere is nice, there’s a decent amount to do, and the water is always refreshing to be in!

Overall, a good pool. With a rock wall in the pool, an area to swim laps, a small whirl pool and lazy river, and a small slide and play area for small children (A slide, ropes to climb on, and things that spray water), it has more activities and less deep swim area compared to Park Forest Pool. I highly recommend buying a season pass if you intend to go frequently (works with both pools). Overall cleanliness is good, there's a grassy area, plenty of tables to put things, and a good pool! Edit: Apologies for missing this, but as seen in pictures they also have two slides that go into a fairly shallow area, and an area for lap swimming. They also have a large grassy hill that is fun to lay on, and snacks such as ice cream, Popsicles, and soda.
