Clean and getting better every year. Lots of construction going on and unfortunately, the hours and length of season have been cut to accommodate this. It’s very cool that they have early morning options for those that want to lap swim and or just hang out before the young ones come. You can’t beat the price.

We love Gypsy Hill Pool. It's clean, well maintained, and the life guards do their jobs well. I appreciate that they hold people to a standard here. It makes it safe and comfortable for everyone. The staff are friendly as well.

I’ve been here several times being I’m from New York, but my friend lives in headwaters so we’ll always visit that pool when it’s hot. I was horrified to learn that the dressing room for the men was shut down. they literally made you change in a porta John that stunk. Double thumbs down to this pool. The pool itself is clean, but there should be a place for men to change and shower after the pool is over. I imagine the women’s locker room was available but not the men’s. it also stinks that the pool closes in early August. The days of summer last until the beginning of October in Virginia and people need a place to cool off. Why it shuts down on August 2 is beyond me and appalling. I live on Long Island and they keep the pools open till the end of September. whoever is running that pool should be fired and they should have somebody who’s confident and realizes that people want to go to the pool al throughout the month of August and into September. Who cares if the kids aren’t there there’s adults living in that neighborhood who like going to the pool
