What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for this establishment are mixed. Many visitors praise its kid-friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, and good value, noting it's often not crowded and offers amenities like a diving board and basketball hoops. Some also mention friendly employees and lifeguards. However, there are significant criticisms. Several negative experiences highlight a cash-only policy with no ATM, which is not clearly communicated on their website or social media, leading to inconvenience and reported rude, unhelpful staff responses when customers inquire. More critically, one review details a severe incident of racism, where a family experienced xenophobic remarks and physical harassment from other patrons, with staff and lifeguards failing to intervene, raising serious concerns about safety, management, and hospitality, especially for minority groups and newcomers.

Great afternoon to be had here. Wonderful staff and lifeguards. Diving board and basketball hoops. Nice size and good value for your money. . . Cheap. Has pool floaties and stuff to rent for a reasonable price as well. I will definitely be going back!!

They don't accept cards, they also do not have an ATM, and they don't have that listed on their Facebook page. They have a website, but that's down (404 error) so it isn't updated. When I went to pay with card they refused me because they didn't accept that form of payment, because they're *old school here* as it was put to me. I said "awe man I wish you guys had out that on your website or fb page, I would have done that before I showed up with my kids. Both women just stared at me dead silent with hateful expressions, gave me no response, just stared at me over the counter with my 2 little kids. There was a line forming, so I went ahead and left, but they never even responded. They did hear me, they just chose to give me the silent treatment because they didn't like what I said. I wasn't even rude, I had said it thinking they might say "oh I didn't realize that Info wasn't available" or maybe "were sorry for the inconvenience" at the bare minimum. But no, daggers until I left. I had to leave with me 2 kids crying out the door because they are both very little and didn't understand why we were leaving. It was incredibly inconvenient, which I wouldn't even be that upset about had they not been so rude to me about the comment i made about having that info accesible to the public on their website or fb page.. It's a small town, I get it that some people still run things *old school* and don't care, it doesn't bother me. Just let people know before they drive 30 minites with their kids in tow and show up to be dissapointed. I am hoping I'll have a better experience at Bristow's pool. And then to be so rude for no forseeable reason? I just moved here in December, so if they were assuming this was common knowledge for people that live here, that makes it pretty one sided against newcomers and visitors. Certainly doesn't make you feel very welcome. Man. You'd think in such a small town people would have more hospitality.

My family but mainly my husband experienced the greatest act of racism I have ever seen in my life Here. There needs to be some kind of control from the lifeguards or management of the pool. A boy maybe ten years old heard my husband speaking spanish and first started with, in here we don't speak spanish. The parents did absolutely nothing and instead sent their daughter to jump on my husband and throw water on him. Mind you this little girl is jumping almost on top of my husband to hit him, And the lifeguards did absolutely nothing about it. We opted for leaving the pool To avoid Any issues that could escalate, Even though my three children were in the pool enjoying themselves. At the time of leaving when my husband was about to enter the men's section to be able to leave the pool He told me an older lady and her granddaughter or something like that looked at him in the face and did a puking Facial expression. All of this happened the lifeguards noticed and did absolutely nothing about it. Therefore hispanics beware of going into this pool.

I took my kid to the pool over the summer many times. We had lots of fun. It was always so clean and the employees were very friendly. Not many people there so we had free range over the whole pool.
