Location is the best feature, right on the pretty lake. The hotel staff was nice so was the restaurant staff but food is not good. Do NOT order the walleye is has bones all in it. I choked. Rooms are older but clean they have remodeling happening soon, last year was new beds and new pillows.
Staff was really nice and helpful. Our kids loved the indoor water park area. Prices are good. Some rooms are remodeled and some look a little older. Air conditioning worked well. No weird smells. The restaurant was good. I had the fish and chips. They were small pieces with a lot of dark batter. Not what I'm used to. We will definitely visit again.
Beautiful resort property with large rooms. Ours was river facing with a balcony. Great place for a stay if you love water parks - both indoor and outdoor. Apparently, although before Labor Day, all pools and water parks were closed. When the kids go back to school there are no life guards. I wish I would have known this as I'm sure the hotel price includes this. Also, there's no hot tub. Nice large restaurant / bar area. Nice walking River trails where you can also rent a bike for $3 per half hour. Front desk was not necessarily warm and fuzzy. Just minimally hopitallic.... doing the job.
Good overall but the goggles they gave us were a bit pricy and broke easily there's these 2 slides that go fast.TOO FAST. Like dangerously fast if someone is a little over the weight limit they could go flying off of it. They said 25 mph! The time I did it not the previous time I went there but the first time. It felt like it went 40-50. It's almost a complete drop with no roof or anything to save you from falling and it's right next to the lazy river if someone on the slide was over weight they could hit someone but overall it was a great experience multiple fun stuff if you have a Young kid they can go in this thing called the "kid fortress" and also they have free life jackets and a diving board and in indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool. Very fun they have multiple fun rides and even a funnel tube. The rooms are great. And if you go there.unless you want to, don't go on the yellow and blue ones I think there called racing panther and something mustang. Very very fast and it can make you feel like your about to puke don't go down it unless you want to. But overall awesome experience. Everybody was nice and had multiple stuff. The slides were great! Over all experience 4 stars! I recommend this place! The food was great too
Party of 8! We came from Okoboji and Clive to meet at King's Pointe. Our 5 kids ranged from 12 weeks to 15 years old. We had a great time at the indoor water park. My only regret is we should have come earlier in the summer on a HOT weekend to enjoy the outdoor facilities. Everything was clean, hotel staff were friendly and helpful when we checked in & out and accidentally left Chase (Paw Patrol) in our room. 🤦🏼♀️ We ate at The Regatta Restaurant on site, for an early meal Friday at 4:00 and our waitress was awesome! Food service was fast, full of flavor and much appreciated for these hungry kids who couldn't wait to head to the water park. We also went into town for breakfast at the Lakeshore Cafe and enjoyed ice cream at the new ice cream shop downtown. 🥰 We'll be back!
