The Honey Lake Valley Community Pool, located at 800 South St, Susanville, CA, is a public outdoor swimming facility that serves the local community and surrounding areas. Typically open seasonally during the summer months, it offers recreational swimming, lap swimming opportunities, and various aquatic programs and swim lessons.
Specific, consistently published temperature information for the pool(s) at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool is not readily available in public sources. As a community outdoor pool, its temperature would likely be influenced by ambient weather conditions, though many similar facilities often aim to maintain a comfortable recreational temperature, typically in the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit, if heated.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is highly praised for its cleanliness, courteous and helpful staff, and consistent lifeguards, contributing to enjoyable experiences for many visitors. A key suggestion was made to adjust the Water Aerobics class time from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, as the earlier time is considered too cold for outdoor therapy and inconvenient for disabled individuals and seniors. One review also detailed a weather-related closure due to thunder, but noted that a compensatory pass was provided.

We love going to the pool. We are thankful to have a pool again. The staff are always nice and helpful. The pool and facilities are always clean.
The facility is clean and there is a very constant team of life guards here. Staff is very courteous.
The Water Aerobics is awesome! But, hopefully this year it will be at 9:00 am this year. Last year it was 8:00 am which is too early for disabled people & senior's who need assistance getting to the pool for therapy. Also it's way too cold for outdoor therapy before 9:00 am. Otherwise I would give them a 4-5 star rating.
Personally had fun every time lol
The sky was looking pretty gray and we were in the pool less than 30 minutes when the life guards blew their whistles to get out of the pool due to thunder and lightening. For every clap of thunder set us back 30 minutes out of the pool. For every clap was another 30 minutes. My grandson and I decided to leave and we were compensated with a pass for another day. Lesson learned? Check the weather report before going to the pool.
