Sat and waited for 2 hours after paying to swim and never got to touch the water and was refused a refund

Today was the first time I've been to the Sullivan Pool since it's been redone. I was pretty impressed. The shower rooms/restrooms are very nice and clean. The pool is not heated like they advertise. At least, it wasn't today, but it was so hot today, that I didn't mind. The baby pool was closed down for some reason, so all the little bitty ones were in the big pool with their mommies, so it was very crowded. They have life jackets you can use for free. They took that high diving board out, which, in my opinion, is a good thing. They have a rock wall you can climb up and fall back into the water. They have two large tube slides. They have a rope above the shallow end of the pool with tires, so the kids can hang on the rope and climb across on the tires. Looked like lots of fun things in the baby pool too, when it's open. It is only a $4.00 admission fee. My granddaughter and I had a very good time. I want to take her back again on a weekday when hopefully, it won't be so crowded. Great job Sullivan!

Visited for the first time today since the major overhaul! I was incredibly impressed with absolutely everything. First, the cleanliness was impressive. The guards on duty were constantly attentive to keeping everything in order. Speaking of the guards, they were mostly young high school age students, but their training has really prepared them to handle everything at the pool well. They weren’t overbearing at all and allowed the kids to play and enjoy their time. But when a safety issue came up, they addressed it appropriately. Their maturity and compassion for children were both super impressive. It was so peaceful without constant whistling and shouting, I actually dozed off in my chair by the pool. I’ve NEVER done that before, but the completely chill atmosphere was great! You could sit under an awning or in the sun. Food prices were exceptionally reasonable and there was never much of a line or wait. The absolutely only down side is that they needed way more chairs. If you don’t get there early, there are not many choices. However, the soft wicker couches, great touch! Overall, we can’t wait to come back. Admission is reasonable at $4 a day, but I hope there is a season pass next year because we will be here often.

The pool itself is nice but I do not trust the lifeguards. They were not actively watching the water. They were constantly distracted. At one point, one was in the water playing while one duty. I saw a kid hit his head on the side of the pool while jumping into the water and I had to go in and make sure he was okay because the lifeguards were not watching.
