My family was roadtripping and went on a Tuesday morning. it was not busy at all with no lines for the slides! We did all the slides, enjoyed the wavepool, lounged in the lazy river, and had fun in the splash park! We stayed for about 4 hours and that was enough for us :) Great time, perfect water temperature, and friendly staff. Thanks!
Oh, where do I begin… We walked in and surprise! the lazy river was closed because they were “short-staffed.” Out of 6 slides, they had a whopping two lifeguards, so getting on a slide was basically like winning the lottery. The water fountains? Decorative only. By before 1 PM, they were already out of French fries, lemonade, Starry, ketchup, mustard, and dessert fries. Impressive. And if you’re feeling fancy and want to pay with a credit card, they’ll tack on an extra 8% for the privilege. I found this out when I dared to ask about the price, and the cashier proudly told me so. All in all, it’s an over-priced, under-delivered day. If you like long waits, no drinks, and random surprise fees this place is for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and pick literally anywhere else.
We do love going as there isn't much to-do in Texarkana for families. The season pass is 100% worth it. However I'm judging harshly over lack of changing rooms that isn't a toilet and lack of privacy for breastfeeding moms who don't want to feed their little one in public. Or a quiet place to bottle feed a very distracted little one. Other than that, it's a great way to spend the afternoon.
The park itself is fun. The customer service sucks. You'll wait in line just for the person at the window to bring the shutter down in front of you and the line behind you. I saw that happen to someone else. Obviously they were pissed. However, I apparently chose the wrong line to get into the park. I waited 45 minutes just to get the pass that I paid for on-line registered. And why did I have to create an account just to have to give the attendant the same information all over again? Then, once in the park I was hot as hell and needed something to drink, so I waited in the concession line for another 20 minutes just to be given a cup full of foam. Then when I told her I'd wait for the foam to die down so she could finish filling it up she acted like I was asking too much. I paid $5 for a drink. I expect to get a drink, not foam. The supervisors need to do better. You can't blame the employees if they're not held to a higher standard to begin with.
Great place to take the kids!! A lot of things to do for all ages. Will definitely be coming back!!
