About

Clean outdoor swimming pool used by a swim team.

The competition pool is typically maintained at 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C), while the leisure pool is generally kept warmer at 82-84°F (27.8-28.9°C).

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the Sahuarita Stingrays Swim Team and its facility are mixed. The swim team itself receives overwhelmingly positive feedback, with parents praising Head Coach Kyle Tek and Coach Michelle Ramirez for their excellent coaching, positive energy, dedication, and ability to foster skill development, confidence, and a strong community spirit among swimmers. The team is described as devoted. Regarding the facility, the pool is generally viewed as good, impressive, and clean, with clean changing rooms and ample deck space for team tents. However, some negative experiences include a 'no visitors allowed' policy, a criticized mask requirement for an outdoor (albeit walled-in) pool area that reportedly dampened the experience, and note of chilly temperatures during a February swim meet.

We couldn’t be happier with the Sahuarita Stingrays Swim Team and the incredible coaching from Head Coach Kyle Tek. Our daughter Bella has absolutely thrived since joining the team — she not only loves swimming more than ever, but she also looks forward to every practice and meet. Coach Kyle has a rare combination of deep knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm. He knows exactly how to motivate kids while keeping swimming fun, and his positive energy is contagious. He’s approachable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in every swimmer’s growth both in and out of the pool. We also have to give a huge shout-out to Coach Michelle Ramirez, who brings the same passion and dedication. She has such a warm, supportive way of connecting with the kids, and it’s easy to see why all of them — including ours — adore her. The Stingrays aren’t just a swim team; they’re truly a community. Our family feels lucky to be part of it, and we’re so grateful for the impact Coach Kyle, Coach Michelle, and the whole team have had on Bella and our other kids. If you’re looking for a team that builds skill, confidence, and friendships, the Stingrays are the place to be!

The pool was impressive, as soon as walled in on a hot summer day a staff member asked us to wear a mask it sounds unhealthy and not practical, even the CDC doesn't mention that. I have never been asked to wear a mask outside even at a public event. It sucked the fun & excitement right out, for that reason I might have to take my business elsewhere .

The pool and change rooms are clean. The local team, Sahuarita Stingrays is small, but devoted. The officials are a nice crowd. We we're at the JO SC in February and was a bit chilly and crisp, which is unusual for this part of Arizona.
