About

Shallow pool featuring a rock-climbing wall and 2 tube water slides, along with a splash pad for little ones.

Specific temperature information for the pool(s) at Lacy Municipal Pool is not typically published. As an outdoor public swimming facility, its water temperature naturally fluctuates with the ambient air temperature and sun exposure throughout its operational summer season, and it is generally unheated.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool generally receives positive feedback for its large size, variety of features including two water slides, a climbing wall, diving area, and a shallow end with splash pad toys. Many appreciate the clean environment, friendly staff, shaded areas, and accessible entry options like a ramp with handrails, making it suitable for many with physical limitations, though the winding changing room entry could be challenging for some motorized chairs. However, recurring complaints include a significant lack of seating, often necessitating patrons to bring their own chairs. Safety concerns were raised regarding the water slides, with no blocking off at the bottom or lifeguards at the top, leading to potential collisions. Another health-related concern was the allowance of individuals with open wounds into the pool, increasing infection risk. Lastly, it's noted that an entry fee is charged to all occupants, whether swimming or spectating, and payment is cash-only. Summer 2025 hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM.

In light of more information I’ve updated my review below. In spite of the pool being very large and pleasant I had to rate 4 stars due to an accommodation issue. This is up 1 star from my previous review. My sticking point on the 5th star is seating. If you enjoy swimming but otherwise have an inability to sit on the ground, you have to at least be able to carry in your own seating. There aren’t any benches for general use, just two tables that each would seat six people at most. Both were occupied when I visited them. Carrying seating would be prohibitive for many people who might otherwise be able to come swim or bring their children to swim. Access to the pool area is by walking through the changing rooms that are lovely and well equipped but have a winding tunnel-like entry between two walls for privacy. There’s no alternative access. update- I checked out the dressing room/again as I left and while there is pooled water as you’d expect, the floor is not slick tile or colored concrete as I had originally thought. It’s a resilient surface and not so slick as tile so that’s a win. Also I could see my wheelchair or walker getting through the curved walkway I mentioned. I’m not sure about a motorized chair but I wouldn’t rule it out. The pool does have two options for safe pool entry and exit that aren’t ladders or steps, including a ramp with hand rails that’s a great benefit for a wheelchair or walker user. All in all it’s a nice pool for the majority of people who’ll be using it and it’s great to have. There are some challenges, though, if you have any physical limitations. I recommend the pool but just be prepared. The fun parts are the water slides, a nice diving area, and sprinklers in the shallow end. There’s several large shaded areas too. The whole area was clean and the people working there are friendly and helpful. Oh, almost forgot! None of the websites info states that you pay for entry whether you swim or spectate so be sure you bring cash only and enough for whoever is planning to enter the pool area. As it was explained, each person counts towards the total occupancy so they charge each occupant of the pool area. Have fun!

The park is very pretty, but what I didn't like at all is that they allow people with open wounds into the pool, increasing the risk of infection since many walk barefoot too. If you have skin wounds, it's best to get better so you don't have complications and don't harm others.

It’s a nice pool with two slides, a climbing wall, diving board, and wading area for the little ones. We went on a Thursday afternoon so it wasn’t very crowded. Only bad thing is that they don’t have a lot of seating, but if you bring your folding chair, you’ll be just fine.

Good pool with a rock wall, two tube water slides, and a shallow area with some splash pad type toys. My only complaint is that they don't have anything blocking off the area by the bottom of the slides, and no lifeguard at the top, so when we were there, kids kept landing on other kids when they went down. Summer 2025 hours are Monday-Saturday, 10-4
