What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews provide mixed feedback for various establishments. One restaurant, Big Spoon, received high praise for an exceptional server named Dee, who made a long wait for food worthwhile. Conversely, a hotel/casino faced significant criticism regarding a closed poolside bar, forcing guests to walk wet through the casino for drinks, slow service, and broken promises of poolside assistance, leading to disappointment and cancelled reservations. Another guest at a similar establishment reported excessive noise from the pool area disrupting sleep, also resulting in cancelled future stays. However, a separate casino garnered positive comments for being a nice, small venue with clean rooms, excellent security, good value, and military discounts.

We ate at big spoon this afternoon for lunch. They were packed and it seemed like they only had one server. Our server Dee was absolutely amazing made the experience and long wait for food worth it. She needs a raise or an award or something.
Booked a patio room specifically to enjoy the sun water and poolside bar. They wouldn’t open the poolside bar so they wanted us to get out of the pool and walk through casino every time we ordered a drink. Def won’t be back for 200 a night.
Apparently they couldn't quite swing service at the pool. Poolside bar wasn't open. Meanwhile, there are at least 7 floaters here in the pool requiring beverages. Had to go clear inside to the casino to order. Standing there in all the wet poolness. Just dripping. Towel or no, it was a mess. Service was extremely slow even there at the bar. I placed an order for everyone at the pool.. ever so graciously they said they could bring out the drinks. I requested that they have someone please come outside occasionally to check on us and take a drink order. I was firm but 100 % polite. I was quite upset given the circumstances. I spoke to not only the bar server, but the hotel staff at the reception desk. They all nodded in agreement and said no problem. Welp, that was a lie. Haven't seen a soul. So here we are sober... the will to throw money away in a slot machine has waned. Disappointment is an understatement. This situation could have easily been remedied by just having any of the forty eleven employees inside come out to take care of the patrons. You took away a service for no reason..aka the poolside bar.. therefore i believe you are obligated to provide some kind of compensation. A simple thing like taking a few drink orders occasionally. Now.. if this were a Tuesday, i may be a bit more understanding, but this was a Friday afternoon and evening!!
Very nice small casino. Clean rooms. Security was excellent. Parking lot Security drove every 15 minutes. I liked the security measures to get into your room. Good value. Got a military discount on rooms.
I stay 4 nights a week all summer for work in the area. No problems until recently. Pool area off the hook. Cant sleep because apparently there is no quiet time. Cancelled my reservations i made for a stay next week. Will be staying elsewhere from now on.
