Excellent outdoor aquatic center! There is truly something for all ages so it's easy to get your money's worth. Plus, we visited the first weekend in June and the water was pleasantly warm/comfortable. As a parent, I think there is excellent visibility for you to see different sections of the water park easily. This is helpful if you have kids running in different directions. The area for little kids has zero entry, and age appropriate slides. There is quite a bit of shooting water but it's not overwhelming like some water parks. The website states that kids under 48" should wear life jackets at all times, but I didn't see this enforced. The splash pad was a hit for our kids (5) during the 10 minute break, but the water was noticeably colder. Additional areas include a lazy river, tube slide, and body slide. In the other pool, there is lap swimming, diving boards from multiple heights, rock climbing wall, lily pads, etc. I was impressed with how much seating there was distributed around the park, including some sections with shade.
If the life guards aren't busy talking to someone they know, then they're snapping at the kids. A little boy was trying to sit down and before he was even on his bottom the life guards yelled at him "bro on your butt! " My boys who we have taken to many water parks in this trip finally just wanted to leave because ever area life guards were just snapping at them. Train your people better!! Also, priced higher than other water parks with more to do.
This place is really nice--its got warm water in the last river and everything was clean and there's large tarps for some shaded areas. Super nice spot in Yankton!
We started going about a week after opening. The crowd look nuts. Still a lot of people go in the heat, but enough for all age groups to have plenty of fun, exercise, or just lounge. I impressed there are so many things to do for everyone. I use the morning exercise in lazy river, and take grandkids late afternoon. Lifeguards are very attentive. Food is fair if you want. I was sceptical about this project but am very impressed now. 2023 - The admission price is too high now after being open a few yrs. They need to give discounts to families and senior.
If I could give it more stars I would! This center is so family friendly with a family friendly each visit price and family friendly seasonal price. If you in YANKTON MAKE SURE TO PUT THIS ON UR LIST TO VISIT!
