Specific and real-time temperature information for Meads Pool is not publicly available. As a typical seasonal outdoor community pool in Elizabeth City, NC, its water temperature naturally varies throughout the operating season based on ambient weather conditions and sun exposure.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool generally receives positive feedback, with many patrons being long-time, multi-generational visitors who love the place. Key strengths include clean facilities, attentive and responsible lifeguards (though strict, they are appreciated for safety), pleasant and personable staff (owners, counter folks), and a good overall value for the community. Visitors enjoy ample space, good quality lounge chairs, umbrellas, and natural shade. Snacks and drinks are often noted as reasonably priced. However, some common criticisms include the admission cost, which can be perceived as high for larger families, and the food being too expensive in some instances. There was also a specific complaint regarding inappropriate swimwear (thong bikinis) at a family-oriented pool, and disappointment over visits cut short by rain.

Rain and then we didn’t even get our full-time there and the food is too expensive
We love this pool however, please don't allow thong bikinis at a family pool! I was shocked to see someone there with their butt out! Especially with young children present!
Been going here for 35 years and now my kids do too just love the place
Meads Pool is a local gem. Let's start with the owners who take pride in their business & offer a great value for the community. Next are the lifeguards who take their responsibilities seriously... they may be strict but they do their job well and I know we're in good hands when we're there. Lastly are the counter folks...polite, personable, and it feels like they're actually happy to be there! I am so glad for the opportunity to be making memories with my grandkids in such a special place.
Had a really nice afternoon here! The parking lot was full, but there was still plenty of room in & around the pool, which was a nice surprise. The lounge chairs & tables (with umbrellas!) were in good condition & the trees that surround the fence also provided ample shade, should you not be there for full sun exposure. The staff was pleasant, the lifeguards attentive, the pool & facilities were clean. Drinks & snacks are reasonably priced, but admission could get a little out of hand for a larger family/single parent with multiple children. I understand from a business standpoint it’s probably necessary (I can’t imagine insurance for a pool that goes to 12’ & has THREE diving boards!), but I can also see how $12/adult & $8/child would deter some. Will definitely consider the season pass in the future.
