😍Love this YMCA! ☝🏾Especially the ☀️outdoor water park💦 that has huge 🏊🏽‍♀️ pools, a wading pool with water 🤿 activities for smaller children, a 🌊cyclone/spinning pool, and a 🛝waterslide. Indoors their are many areas for the kids to venture to like: rock 🧗‍♂️ climbing, playground with tunnels and a slide, air hockey 🥌 table, indoor 🏊🏾 pool and even a daycare! Great place to take the kids for the day. So happy WE have a family YMCA pass! 😉😎

I have been a member here off and on since I moved to Fort Wayne in 2005..... after a month and some days of the gym floor being redone .. its finally all back to almost the way it was before. Honestly for all the time and disruption, I cant see that big of an improvement. polished concrete and rubberized flooring are couple changes to note.. oh also fewer televisions.. they are bigger but less of them oh and if you are an early riser and hope to work out and catch up on local news or national events before you go off to work too support yourself and family .. think again! I was told no more news on TV's -local, national nothing. " too divisive" Instead for the hour and 10 minutes I was there, I watched an infomercial on a hand held saw that was supposedly life changing. Prior to that I had the pleasure of watching a fund raiser for foreign children in need of surgical procedures. I miss the old floor and the multiple TVs which gave you the choice to watch what you wanted to watch, while spending my hard earned money on a membership to a very nice and safe facility. There are much cheaper places to go to and likely have tv's with what you want to see on them. lets hope the Young Men Christian Association doesn't get woke on us.. I don't go there to be told what or how to think.

I could write a list as to why you shouldn't get a membership here. But its overrun with kids running around everywhere, with teens sitting around at all the workout machines. Management is poor. Hours are garbage. If you want better hours you pay extra. Price vs what you get has gotten worse over the years. Just a horrible place to get in a workout. With how much money they rake in they should have a better facility. You wanna make a night and day difference? Make the 24 hr access available for all members above 18. Kick kids 14 and under out of the weight area. AND ENFORCE IT. Under 18 has their own smaller workout area away from adults where they can sit around and chat all they want instead of crowding up the area for people trying to exercise.

I love my instructor, Cindy, and I love the camaraderie of the silver sneakers and her other class participants. I trust Cindy has our best interests in mind as she has geared the classes appropriately for women in their 60s-80s. When substitutes come in they do a good job, but I can tell they are used to much younger participants. I never get sore after Cindy's classes, but I do have more energy, feel better and am getting toned. I can now get up off the floor without holding on to anything. This is the longest I've stayed in an exercise program in my life. I've encouraged many of my friends to check out the Y programs.

We were at the outside pool yesterday, which we love by the way, and there was a medical emergency of some sort. The lifeguards and staff were on top of it and were so attentive to the needs of the girl. They stayed by her side until an ambulance arrived. Well done staff! Praying she is on the mend!!
