About

Family-friendly venue with a lazy river, diving boards, and a concession stand, plus a gender-neutral restroom.

Specific pool temperatures for The Falls Aquatic Center are generally not publicly disclosed, as is common for large outdoor seasonal aquatic facilities. Pools are typically unheated or minimally heated, relying on ambient temperatures and sunshine for warming.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is generally well-received, offering a variety of attractions such as a large pool with diving boards and slides, a lazy river, tube slides, and a dedicated kids' area. Patrons frequently praise the clean water, helpful and observant lifeguards, and the availability of activities like water walking. Admission prices and summer passes are considered reasonable, and there are options for birthday parties. However, a common complaint is that the park is often crowded. A significant negative experience highlighted a lack of consistent staff training and clear policies regarding accessibility and reasonable accommodations, stemming from a dismissive and insensitive interaction with a front desk staff member concerning a child's disability.

Love this place! Especially nice is the offer of water walking for exercise from 11:00 to noon every day. Summer passes are very reasonable!

I wouldn’t normally have anything bad to say about the Falls other than that it is always crowded. That said, my opinion was changed today from an unfortunate experience with staff member regarding the child I was with and his disability. After leaving the kids area due to a sensory overload, we tried for the lazy river. On the rules posted outside the river on the brown sign it only specified height requirements and that anyone below that requirement could be walked in a tube by an adult (later, they posted additional signage). We at first tried to get the six year old to sit in the tube but it was a real challenge; he did not like the loss of control of where he went and didn’t want to get splashed. He ended up walking in his tube, and we were approached by a lifeguard and I explained the situation and that we’d get out at the next stop. She informed us that if we visited the front desk we would be able to get him a wristband to allow for that accommodation. Each lifeguard we passed along the way offered similar comments so I took the child I was nannying up to the front desk. There I explained the situation to a young man that was extremely dismissive and said that he wasn’t going to give us a wristband just for one part of the park. At that point he asked “Well what else can’t he do?”. That question is insensitive to say the least and I was a bit stunned so we just walked away. Of course there are things that the boy couldn’t do, but to have to list them all in some sort of disability Olympics felt unnecessary. Not to mention doing this in front of this completely cognizant first grader felt cruel. There needs to be some sort of training that all staff members undergo on accessibility and reasonable accommodation. There should also be a list of those accommodations ready for the public. My frustration lies mainly in the lack of continuity among staff members and the way in which the male staff member at the front desk responded to the request. Fortunately we have other options for pools in the area as this was not a pleasant experience. Shoutout to Byrnes which has been our favorite this summer.
