I can’t speak to the camping portion of River Bend, only to the water play stuff. Reasonably priced and SO much fun!! The inflatables were a blast! A bit crowded at times but all the kids on this day were so courteous in allowing others to pass or not trying to hurt others by being reckless. Life vests available but not required. If was a requirement for my crew (all very capable of swimming) but we sure didn’t want any mishaps! Pool was great and nice and warm. Water slides excellent! Plenty of pool space and even a hot tub (at 90’ when we went we did not use though). We will be back!!

The campground was clean, staff was friendly, the pool was the perfect temperature. The only downside was the hot tub was closed and on one of the busier days the waterslide was closed but everybody still had a lot of fun. The jumping pillow was a huge attraction for seemingly every age there.

After a 2 year break we decided to give it try since we thought the last time we went was a fluke. Not sure where to start. We had called a week prior to our stay and asked if visitor wristbands were available on Fridays to campers. We were assured they were and that Saturdays' were the only days they were not given out. We then called the night before our check in date to see if there was any sort of early check. We noted that if there wasn't, we were fine with the 2 pm check in. We are asked our site location to verify that no one was on the site Wednesday night. It was confirmed that there wasn't and we were told that we could come as early as noon to check in. After driving we arrived at roughly 1230. Walked into the registration office to check in and was greeted by a brunette who should NOT be working in any sort of customer service roll. I simply stated that we were there to check in and her immediate response was "absolutely no check ins until 2 pm" I then preceded to mention that we had called the day before to confirm and her response was "well that wasnt me and our policy is that no one can check in until 2" as a fellow business owner, I would have fired her for her attitude but hey, im sure she is a seasonal snob and looks down on everyone checking in. She preceded to hand us our paperwork to check in, please note all info you receive is what fines you will receive if you do something wrong. (sounds like a great place) Not sure what fake authority their security force thinks they have, but for for any future visitors, i would take their ticket and toss it in the fire. Since we were 90 minutes early I asked if there was anything we could do or if we were to wait in the parking lot for 90 min while out camp site sits empty. She rolled her eyes and said "well if your grass isnt cut, I guess it wont be cut" and handed me all of my paperwork. Since check in went so well I had asked about our visitors for Friday. We were assured that all we needed to do was come up to the registration office when they arrived so they could put the wristband on. A point was made that THEY HAD TO BE WITH US IN PERSON SO SHE COULD PUT THE WRISTBANDS ON THEM. We proceeded to our site and checked in. We did notice a handful of people check in before 2pm. So they either got special treatment or the crabby lady in the front office was wrong. Fast forward to Friday, our friends arrive and we meet them at the registration office. We walk in, ask for wristbands and were told that they do not offer them on Friday's. When prompted that we were told over the phone AND at check in yesterday we again were told they were not sure who we talked to but the employee was mistaken. After pointing out how ridiculously stupid that sounded and bringing up the fact that this happened to us yesterday that each employee has no idea what they are doing they settled and gave us the 3 extra wristband we needed. Remainder of the weekend was subpar. They have waterslides, if you are looking forward to them say a little prayer that they are open. Otherwise they are there for show. If you have small children (or bigger children that have some sort of manors and discipline) this place probably isnt for you. They do have a small Wibitz course as well as a large course. All of the seasonal older kids will still jump on the smaller Wibitz and drop F bombs every other word. Completely oblivious to the smaller kids around them. Knocking them off as they run by. They would continue to use said language loud enough on the bigger Wibitz that it could be heard from the beach with ease. They have rules but seasonal and friends of seasonals must be exempt? Minors driving golf carts, speed limit is 10 but if you are on a golf cart or e scooter/bike that doesnt apply to you, the music that is blaring so loud out of drunk golf cart riders. they do drive around with their chest puffed out as if they are cool but they are all morons. The amenities at the pool area appear to not have been updated ever. Save your money and go to a different place.

Disappointed. We came this year and when trying to check in the check in woman was rude and expecting us to know the new check in rules. She had to “explained already” the new policy about early check in, however, she didn’t explain it to us she just assumed we knew. Having some sort of update of signs on new policies and ways to check in instead of assuming we understood would have been helpful. We’ve been coming for years and this is our first bad experience. The front desk was a dark haired brunette woman. She was so rude. Definitely not a great first impression to newbies! I’d tell her to check her attitude at the front door before she comes to work. Doesn’t really make me want to stay here again and we’ve been coming for 5+ years.

This was our first weekend at River Bend and we loved it. We had a double lot for two campers and had plenty of room for picnic tables, tents, chairs, etc. We loved the kiddie pool, main pool, and inflatables. They have a restaurant, arcade, and pool bar with the best piña colada & strawberry daiquiri. Can't wait to be back!
