About

Kids' pool and slide at a clean recreational center for folks of all ages.

As an outdoor community pool, the temperature of the Wells Township Pool is typically unheated and fluctuates naturally with ambient weather conditions and sun exposure. Specific temperature readings are not consistently published, but it generally reflects the warm temperatures of the summer season when it is operational.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed, with many patrons highly commending it as a clean, affordable, and friendly community asset, particularly for families. Positive feedback often highlights recent improvements under new management, the enjoyable slide, and good snack bar offerings like fresh-cut fries. However, one extensive negative review alleges discrimination against non-local visitors, an outdated pool with discolored water, and a strict no-refund policy, even when the pool closes early. This reviewer also reported extremely poor and rude service from teenage staff, leading to a heated interaction where staff called the police, resulting in a disorderly conduct citation for the patron.

I have to be honest and say that my opinion might be a bit biased because I'm the rec director. Our new pool manager has made a lot of changes and the pool feels fresh and new again. It seems that everyone is enjoying themselves, and we've had a lot of positive feedback.

I would give 0 stars if Google would let me. I'd first like to make people aware that if you are not from Brilliant and they do not know you, they will in fact discriminate against you. You pay $3 to use their pool, which is very old and the water has a slight green cast to it. You will recieve no refunds, no matter the circumstances. Even if that circumstance is that not enough people are there so they will be closing the pool early. Only giving you an hour or so to swim after driving 25 minutes to get there. In my case, I paid for my son and I to swim and THEN was told that they would be closing the pool early bc not enough people are there to swim. Again, absolutely no refunds. There is a sign on the counter in bold print AND highlighted stating that. When I voiced that I was unhappy that I wasn't made aware of that the pool may close early before I paid, a young chunky blonde haired girl looks at me smugly, shrugs her shoulders and says very rudely, "Sorry!" It upset me but I shrugged it off. I asked if they had drinks available and another teen girl replied in a very unenthusiastic way, "Uh, we have Pepsi products...but we're running low...so I'll have to see what we have." So I stand there waiting as 6 teenagers are sitting around doing nothing. I had to ask 5 times for someone to help me get something to drink. That was enough for me so I spoke up. I raised my voice and commented on them being lazy and not wanting to do their job. I was very irritated wasting time knowing that we may only get to swim for a short time if no one else showed up. I grabbed my drinks and paced around the pool to cool off. Apparently that was a very threatening behavior bc they called the police. Yes. That's correct. They called the police and I was cited for disorderly conduct. The officer yelled at me to get out out the pool right in front of my son. He runs up and asks the officer, "Are you arresting my mommy??" All bc some lazy, entitled, discriminating teenager babies didn't like being scolded. So beware, if you're from out of town, even right outside of Brilliant, you may have issues. Do not, I repeat, do NOT raise your voice to these precious babes, they will be scared and call the law on ya. Ridiculous. Oh and it's a $195 citation... just throwing that out there too.
