We had a great experience here. While they could use some more seating in the shade (especially in the summer in 90+degree weather, my kiddo really loved the slides. There are three for big kids and two for smaller kids. The lifeguards really pay attention and I felt very secure letting my kiddo enjoy. 90 minute pass is $24 for a big kid.
I know what you're thinking, $24 bucks per person for 90 minutes is steep. Wrong!! If you are traveling with kids, its the best $24 you can spend. Slides are located up a steep hill. No wait, life guards are very alert to everything going on. 90 minutes of non stop climbing and sliding your kids will sleep like babies. It worked wonders on our 4 early teen kids.
We had so much fun! Don’t listen to the bad reviews. Lifeguards were nice, my brother had the wrong wristband but, the people who give wristbands had no problem fixing it. Then for the trouble they gave us about 10-15 extra minutes! Also the employees don’t really care about when you leave as long as it’s not too long over! Overall great time!
I would give this place 0 stars if I could! I came here with my 5 year old granddaughter who could only go on the two small slides. About halfway through our 90 minutes, I witnessed a little boy defecating in the small pool. His parents were nowhere to be found. I quickly reported this incident to the lifeguards and they just laughed about it. They did end up cleaning it up, however, they did not comply with North Carolina health and safety laws. The water needs to be treated and they did not do anything about this issue. How if my granddaughter contracted a chlorine resistant, fecal-borne parasite from that little boy’s defecation? This place does not follow North Carolina health and safety laws! I will not be back!
I recently visited magic mountain and while I enjoyed some aspects, I have serious concerns about the condition of the water slides. On one particular slide, I experienced a sharp edge that unfortunately cut my leg. This is unacceptable and indicates a significant lapse in safety and maintenance. Water parks should be a fun and safe environment for everyone. It's crucial that magic mountain conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all slides to ensure there are no sharp edges, cracks, or other hazards that could cause injury. The park needs to prioritize the safety of its visitors by addressing these issues promptly. I hope that magic mountain takes this feedback seriously and implements the necessary repairs and safety checks to prevent future incidents. Until these improvements are made, I cannot recommend the water slides at this park.
