About

Seasonally operated pool with a slide and splash pad, plus food and a concession stand.

The facility typically maintains its competition pool at a cooler temperature, generally around 78-80°F (25-27°C), suitable for lap swimming and training. The leisure or therapy pool is usually kept warmer, approximately 86-90°F (30-32°C), providing a comfortable environment for children, rehabilitation, and recreational play.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This local pool is generally well-regarded as an affordable family-friendly amenity, with entry fees typically $2 for children and $3 for adults. It features a varied depth pool (from 0ft in the kids' area to 12-17ft in the deep end), a splash pad, and a fun water slide (which requires swimming ability for the deep end landing). Hourly 10-minute adult swims (21+) are observed. Amenities include free life jackets (with usage rules for deeper sections), a reasonable number of chairs (some with umbrellas), and a limited sheltered picnic area. Concessions offer cheap hotdogs, chips, drinks, and sweets, with an occasional ice cream truck. Restrooms and dressing rooms are consistently reported as clean, and staff are friendly and helpful, including 4-5 lifeguards on duty. Parking is ample and free. While generally positive, some common issues include strong chlorine levels, weekend/Thursday crowding (leading to potential rudeness, cursing, or belongings being moved), a block schedule on weekends requiring re-payment to stay all day, and rules against bringing personal floatation devices. Incidents like pool closures due to vomiting have also occurred.

A little crowded with some kids who don't care if they hit you or not but it's not really a big issue. They have a block schedule only on weekends where you can enter either from 11 to 2:45 or from 3 to 6:45. You have to leave the pool and pay again at the front if you want to stay for both blocks. 3$ per adult and $2 per child. Always about 4 or 5 lifeguards on duty if you care for that sort of thing. Only hotdogs, chips, some drinks and some sweets for snacks but they're cheap. Then they usually have some kind of ice cream truck that's good but more expensive. The slide is pretty fun and without a lot of waiting. There's adult swim every hour for 10 minutes, ages 21 and up. There are free life jackets to borrow. Kids I think under 14 have to take a swim test to go in the deep end, and no kids with life jackets in the 5 foot depth or deeper. A nice gradient of depth starting from 0 feet in the kids area, reaching a wide area of 5 feet, and then a steeper drop down to 12 feet in the deep end. A reasonable amount of chairs to lay out on, some under umbrellas and an area with picnic tables under a shelter. It seems a bit heavy in chlorine because it was pretty hard to keep my eyes open underwater, but tolerable. One notable thing happened today where a kid vomited in the pool, forcing everyone to get out of the pool for 35 minutes while the chlorine did its job I guess.

The city of Thomasville definitely needed a place like this locally . Prices are cheap and decent for your average family. 2$ for kids and 3$ for adults , they open from 1-7pm . The staff was friendly and helpful and dressing rooms and bathroom was clean . They also sell food at at concession stand , mainly Hotdogs and drinks and I believe cookies and candy and chips . They range from 1$-2$. They do take cash and card . Life jackets are free and they have 3 different sizes . There is also a picnic area that is sheltered but the tables are first come first serve and there is only about 6 . They have a few umbrellas for shades and lawn chairs for sitting . If these areas are full then there is space on the sides to set up towels and your things . If you are looking to go and not find it crowded much I recommend going through the week . Weekends are really crowded . They have a splash pad and also a pool that goes up to 4ft for the small kiddos . The other side of the pool goes from 5ft to about 17ft. They have a waterside but only those who can swim bc you fall in 5ft and no life jackets allowed . There are also pool breaks in between . The only reason I’m giving this 3 stars is because we had issues with someone moving our things at our picnic table while we were in the pool and then there was group of young kids right beside our picnic table just cursing up a storm being extremely loud and having in decent conversations. I have younger children so it was uncomfortable and disappointing to be around this .

This place is great. Food, slide, deep end, area for little kids, breaks, visitor rotation, and lots of parking. Entry fee is just a few bucks. Very clean. Well done Thomasville
