We’ve been to Great Wolf Lodge twice now, and overall I think it’s best suited for younger kids. The water park itself isn’t very big—there are a few slides for older kids, but not much variety, so they end up doing the same ones over and over. Most of the attractions are geared toward little kids, and it can get very crowded. They do have some extra activities and passes you can buy, which are fun for younger ones. For older kids, though, there really isn’t much to keep them busy, and they can get tired of it pretty quickly. Our first visit wasn’t great—we actually got food poisoning. On our second visit, three years later, things were better, and going with friends made it more enjoyable. Still, one person in our group had a smelly room and had to leave since no other rooms were available. Overall, I’d say it’s worth going at least once, especially if you have younger kids who will enjoy the small water park and activities. But for kids over 10, I wouldn’t really recommend it—unless your child is the type who’s happy to repeat the same slides and doesn’t mind the crowds.
This was really nice. Tessa at the front desk is an exceptional 👏 employee. She welcomed you with a smile and greeting that make you feel at home. The room I had was not like showned on the website, but I am still satisfied. It was really spacious with all those kids around. The hotel is clean with all those kids running around they are doing a pretty good job to remove on a fraction of time any mess that might have happened in their hallways or any of their games area. I had a blast at their water park.
My boys love this place. We stayed in the water park most of the time. Service by everyone is top notch. Life guards are on another level and I feel totally secure with my boys in the water. Two things to work on. The price is a bit high (stay and play packages) and I'd like to see more healthy food options. Tough to eat healthy there.
My family and I just spent 3 days here & it was the best experience. We had the wolf pup den suite, the room was clean & had enough space for the 3 of us. When I say ALL the staff there was amazing and kind, I mean it! There was a server named Rebecca who made our dinning experience 100/10, she was one of the sweetest people we had the pleasure of meeting! We purchased the ultimate food & fun pass and the breakfast buffet. Definitely worth it to add on to save some money in the long run. The food at the breakfast and dinner buffet was delicious, there is something there for everyone to eat. We are already planning a trip back, my entire family had a great time. Leaving with so many fun memories and already excited to plan another trip.
My recent stay at Great Wolf Lodge was a complete letdown from start to finish. The online photos are incredibly deceptive, they paint a picture of a clean, well maintained resort that simply does not match the reality. The room itself was a major disappointment. The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The bathroom was so cramped and tiny that it felt like an afterthought. It was completely impractical and added to the overall feeling of being in a low-quality motel, not a family resort. To top it all off, on the morning of my checkout, my TV was restricted at 6 a.m. to a handful of useless hotel menu channels. I couldn't even watch the morning news, which is unacceptable and a ridiculous way to start the day. For the high price, you would expect a minimum level of comfort and functionality. Instead, we were met with a series of frustrating disappointments. I would not recommend this lodge to anyone seeking a relaxing or enjoyable getaway. Save your money and go somewhere that actually delivers on its promises.
