It is generally praised for its cleanliness, clear water, and the city's efforts to maintain low admission, though it is noted to be in need of significant funding for major renovations. The staff/life guards were pretty lazy , gossiping among themselves. The pool itself was a nice relief from the sun . The life guards were being almost bullies to a 3 year old if you can believe it. The parents were correcting the child and the life guards would talk nasty about the parent and their child. I was disgusted. They shut the pool off because the child was climbing out of the pool instead of using the ladder . Which I get it’s a safety thing but it seemed pretty petty to ruin the other kids time. Management needs to keep an eye/ear out for the staff . Made the day kind of a bummer do to the ladies working . Other than that it’s the only pool for miles
The pool is the only public pool for miles. This pool is very important to the community. The area is always kept clean, the water clear and sparkling. The city works hard to keep the pool open and the admission price low although the pool doesn't make enough money to do more the patch job repairs. I would love to see them get grant money or major donations to really remodel the entire structure. The kids, the families, the seniors, all the community enjoys using the pool at one time or another. They offer swim lessons for all ages and abilities as well as life guard training. My kids have been through the swim lessons and they now swim better than average. The lifeguards are friendly, well trained, and from the area. The life guards can be hired for private parties. The facility can be rented for the day or evening for private parties.
It's like a Oasis in middle of desert. 😛 It has a small pool for toddlers.
Great to know that after the pool being closed for a few seasons and said to be in disrepair shape it's "GRAND RE-OPENING" will be 6/13/2022.. Hope everyone will take advantage of our community pool and support it, we almost lost it. Once it's gone I believe it will be a longtime if ever that our community will have one. I truly hope all the kids will get the chance to enjoy it. Just as many of us living here did when we were young.
Wouldn't it b great if the pool was not as large so it was easier and cost effective to keep the water temp elevated. There's several of us licals that would use it regularly for therapuetic reasons but uts just way to cold. Oh if ur swimmung laps then I'm sure its just fine but for us who have disabilities just being able to get in the pool and move our joints around wuthout bearing weight on them its unfortunately not for us. But oh how i wish it was you'd b suprised how many people would support it then .
