Kid-friendly venue featuring a diving board for swimmers.
The water at Westfield Pool is typically heated to a comfortable temperature, generally maintained between 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 26.7-27.8 degrees Celsius), consistent with other outdoor pools operated by Fort Collins Parks & Recreation.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Westfield Pool is largely appreciated by long-time members and local families for being a well-kept neighborhood pool with good play space, a popular diving board, and fun events like night swims. It offers ample lawn space, good lifeguards, swim lessons, and a community swim team, making it a worthwhile investment for those with kids in the area. However, some downsides include pricey memberships, potential overcrowding during peak summer months, and guest pass costs adding up. A significant negative concern raised was the inflexible and unhelpful attitude of a board member, James Hicks, regarding a member's payment issue, strictly enforcing late fees and denying pool access until the full balance, including the late fee, was paid.

This was a great neighborhood pool, good space for play, great to have a diving board and their night swim with rope lights, all the glow sticks and lighted balloons was really super fun!
My family have been members here since the beginning. I remember the pool committee coming to our door with the idea when I was 10ish. We love this pool. It is simple, but there's lots of lawn space to spread out and if you're there on a non-packed day, there's always plenty of chairs. If you live in the area and have kids, Westfield Pool is worth the investment.
We are founding members of Westfield pool and love it. It is well kept, has great life guards & kids like the diving board. We've taken advantage of their swim lessons and the Westfield Waves Fort Collins community swim team - great coaches & a great experience for our girl. I recommend to friends every year.
Memberships are pricy, and it gets a little crowded during summer months. Although it only costs $5 for guest passes, it adds up quickly. I would recommend trying it out for one summer, then if you like it, buy it again.
James Hicks is a horrible board member. attached is the email conversation that was sent to me regarding an issue I had w/ payment. Nice huh?!? "He’s been paying for 15 years to a Ft Collins address! The website and all mailers sent CLEARLY have Fort Collins addresses and not another single member (out of close to 500 members) have made a payment to anywhere but the Fort Collins address or online. I know it sucks to have to pay a late fee, but it’s not our problem that he made a mistake and now he has to pay for it. As far as “paying the balance and NOT the late fee”, our bylaws clearly state members with ANY balance due will not have access to the pool until the balance is paid in full. So he can pay the $285 and still be on the outside looking in! James "
