Family-friendly summer swimming hole featuring slides, a diving board, pools for tots and a play area.
Specific, up-to-date pool temperatures for Brookside Park Aquatic Center are not readily available to the public online. However, as a modern recreational facility, its pools are generally expected to be heated to a comfortable range for swimmers, typically between 78-82°F (25.5-27.7°C) during its operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for Indy Parks reveal an overwhelmingly negative experience for many visitors. Recurring issues include unjustified and prolonged pool closures or delays (due to 'thunder' or 'lightning' during clear skies, and chlorine level corrections), leading to frustration and wasted time. Several visitors reported staff as unhelpful, unappreciative, or idle, and a significant safety concern was highlighted by a family whose personal belongings (purses, phones, wallets, car keys) were stolen by local teens, with staff reportedly failing to intervene. Other complaints include late openings, dirty pool conditions, and limited swimming time for the admission price. While some facility updates were noted (pool renovated, playground being rebuilt), a current lifeguard shortage was also mentioned. The reviews strongly recommend avoiding Indy Parks in favor of other alternatives like Carmel's water park.

Summer 2024 - if you know lifeguards, send them to apply. Last summer they did not have enough lifeguards for all pools /all times. The pool was updated winter 23 the playground is torn up, being rebuilt now.
Worst experience with Indy Parks. I wouldn’t come here EVER again because, the staff doesn’t appreciate the community. The pool has been closed due to “thunder” for an hour. UPDATE: now 1.5 hours. The sky is completely clear and people are sitting around soaking wet. I added photos of completely clear skies and all the people waiting. I won’t return to Indy park ever again. I’ll head north and pay for Carmel’s water park.
Umm we had to wait 2 hours poolside while they got the chlorine levels correct which I felt like they should've had done before the pool opened I watched them sit around for a hour before the pool opened and they also opened the doors 10 mins late but I got to swim so ig it was a ehh not for long though because they said they seen lightning which I didn't see any but ig so pool opened at 11 didn't swim until 1 got kicked out at 3 so yea $7 for 2 hours pool was dirty too 🤷🏾♀️
The building here had opioid antidote rescue kits when I visited, prior to open season.
I'm giving this 1 star because 0 isnt an option. However, people need to be warned about the local kids/teens that go to this pool on a regular basis....Today, my 4 kids (18, 18, 15, 16) and I were robbed while i had my back turned in the pool for 20 mins. They took 2 purses, phones, wallets CAR KEYS etc. Luckily an officer was parked close by and us making a report, paired with my very loud and thorough plan to deal with it myself 😈(that I made sure EVERYONE heard) must have scared them and they decided to spread all the stuff in our purses across all of Brooksides property. We spent 2 hours finding stuff in the field/weeds/bushes. They busted my daughters phone in half almost. Like honestly its evil and concerning behavior especially from that age group 12-13ish. What really gets me is that all of our stuff was about 10ft away from staff and other people but NOONE saw anything. Thankfully a couple families helped us search the property because staff did absolutely nothing. Apparently this group of kids had stolen from multiple people, JUST TODAY. So pleaseeeeee beware, be safe and probably go to ANY other pool than this one. Our family, friends etc will never go again.
