Park offering a swimming pool, as well as ramps and other features for skateboarders.
Specific, officially published pool temperatures for Willard Park Aquatic Center are not readily available in public descriptions. However, public aquatic centers generally aim to maintain their pools at a comfortable temperature for recreational swimming, typically within the range of 78-84°F (25.5-29°C), though exact temperatures can fluctuate based on various factors.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the park's aquatic facilities are mixed, with several significant complaints. Positively, when the pool is open, it is described as clean, well-staffed, and enjoyable for children, featuring a slide and rock climbing wall. However, some visitors noted that staff did not always enforce rules, leading to issues like litter and profanity. A major recurring issue is the pool's operational status; multiple users reported that the facility was closed during anticipated open seasons (e.g., June 2023, Summer 2024) despite online information indicating otherwise, leading to frustration. There are also requests for more comprehensive online information, such as photos showing pool depth. Beyond the pool itself, there's a strong complaint about the lack of accessible public restrooms within the park.

Nice pool. Was clean and we'll staffed. Pool on the smaller side but my kids had a blast. Nice slide and rock climbing wall. Only down was a group of people eating candy in the pool, throwing wrappers and using profanity, staff not enforcing rules or approaching them.
Ain’t been there yet yall just need people to take better photos show how deep ect
It'd probably be very nice for portions of the public, if it was open. Which it wasn't, in June 2023.
Well all I can do is give you information based on facts & information as I have found that info out for myself, having said that I have been in Indy most of my life and I never knew that there was a pool there because I don't really live in that area I don't frequent that area or the park if I am in that area it's only because I'm driving down East Washington Street either heading west or heading east for some reason or another I just recently found out that they have a skate portion skateboarders park or portion of the park you know the ramps and the curbs and all that thing that they do so all these things must be fairly new to that part since as I said I haven't heard anything about it I don't know anything but I guess since I was there they want me to give my opinion so I guess that's all I can say except for now that I know that Willard park has both of those things I still won't be going there to use either one of the facilities I did however stop by there some months back to use the restroom and I assume that all aquatic parks or you knowor parks in general have that building in the center usually attached to a pool I guess I should have assumed that from the get-go but I did go there to use the restroom usually they have public restrooms at parks and unfortunately they didn't have any so I partook of a very large tree in the back, and if they have me on video or have a problem with my public urination then maybe you should have public restrooms like every other park in America... you think? But since you don't i had to think about why you dont have any or why you have them closed temporarily, And considering the area and the ever growing drug addicted homeless population i completely understand, But if you wouldn't mind a suggestion, I say open the rest rooms completely and make them pay stalls, They pay to play, you make money, And they get to drop off the kids at the pool, No Pun Intended, lol
Brought my toddler son here THINKING we're about to cool down on this hot day. Even looked online before leaving said they're open for the summer which they weren't! NEEDS TO BE STATED ONLINE THAT ITS CLOSED FOR SUMMER 2024.
