What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the community pool are mixed. Positive feedback highlights a nice pool with shade and green areas, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and well-kept facilities with great lifeguards. However, significant concerns include crowded swim lanes and the desire to prohibit disruptive ball/toy throwing. Several reviewers reported feeling singled out and targeted by a specific older lifeguard, citing excessive whistling for minor infractions like splashing and alleging racial discrimination. Additionally, many find the $15 per person admission fee, especially for children under two, to be excessively high and 'outrageous'.
Reviews
Nice community pool, with shade and green areas. Wish they would open a few more swim lanes so it's not so crowded, and also, prohibit throwing balls/toys in pool (roudy catch) it is intimidating.
The staff at East Pete Poole are very knowledgeable and helpful. The facility is well kept and the lifeguards are really great with kids.
Since this pool is walking distance from my new home I decided to give this pool a try and possibly buy a membership. *I did not have a good experience.* The life guard, an older Caucasian woman, kept eyeing my children and I. She blew her whistle at anything and everything. Even to my children splashing at each other away from others. (?!) I felt like we were singled out. Not trying to pull out the rascist card but we were truly treated differently. It was embarrassing every time she called out or whistled. Everyone looked. I hope this gets better. I read from other reviews that I'm not the only one this happened too.
Charging full price($15) for kids under 2 is ridiculous.
they kept eyeing us for no reason only eyes on us. everything we did was not okay, and it was only to us because we’re not white. i’m not coming back, and $15 per person including kids is outrageous, this is a 0 star visit for me not recommended.
