My in laws live here in Cabot and our kids spent a month with them. We are from out of town. They’ve spent a lot of time at this water park while in Arkansas. Today my little one asked us to bring him here to show us the place. I was sitting in the corner close to the big water slide under the umbrella. Within an hour, at least 10 kids slipped in this corner here and one girl bump her head pretty hard. These kids weren’t even running, just walking to the slide. I went to a lifeguard and asked if they have anything to put up on that corner to warn everyone that it’s slippery and to be cautious. The young lifeguards response was, “ We know about that but we don’t have anything”. No solution was offered at all. I hope they will not wait until someone gets seriously injured before they decide to do something about it since according to the lifeguard they are aware of it.
Absolutely ridiculous experience at the concession stand today. After waiting in line for 15 minutes under the hot sun, I was served a FROZEN burger. And no, I didn’t even bite into it—I could feel how cold the patty was through the bun. The ketchup was literally hotter than the meat. Disgusting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. To top it off, they ran out of hotdogs right at break time—the one time they KNOW the entire pool empties out and people flood the food line. How do you not prepare for that? When I brought the frozen burger back to the counter, I did get a replacement—but only after dealing with a serious attitude from the staff. No apology, no accountability, just eye rolls and an energy like I was bothering them for pointing out something that should never happen in the first place. It is unsafe and completely unprofessional to serve frozen or undercooked food, especially in a place packed with kids. This isn’t just bad service—it’s a potential health risk. Do better, Cabot Aquatic Park. People come here for family fun, not to get handed unsafe food and treated like an inconvenience when they speak up.
Every summer Real Women / our ladies group at That.Church spend an evening in ministry with each other and food and fun! Thank you for sharing your Park with our ladies! It’s always a blast!
We had 2 adults, two kids age 5 & 9. Made the drive from LR to try it and had a great time! I like the huge diversity of people: ages baby to the elderly, typical “american” swim attire, very modest swim wear including head coverings, many races represented all having a great time. This isn’t something I’ve seen often in my years in Arkansas. Concession pricing was very reasonable, bathrooms were clean & well stocked. It was clear the lifeguards were well trained and management hold them all to appropriate guarding standards/techniques. We went late afternoon until close. If tou but day admission $10 you can leave areas and come back AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT AT CAPACITY. That could be helpful for smaller kids wanting a mid day break.
Don’t get me wrong, it is a nice water park. But…Something has to be done about the blazing hot concrete! It was so hot today that I had to stop twice in the “shade” (even the shade was hot) just so my feet wouldn’t burn. If the concrete is too hot for an adult to walk on comfortably, think about how hot it would be to a toddler.
