Family-friendly facility with indoor and outdoor pools, plus classes and a gym.
The Germantown Athletic Club maintains its indoor lap pool typically between 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C). Additionally, it features a warm water therapy pool usually heated to 90-92°F (32.2-33.3°C). Outdoor pools are seasonal and generally not maintained at specific lap-swimming temperatures.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the Germantown Athletic Club are mixed. Many members highly praise the excellent facilities, including a well-equipped weight room, indoor and outdoor pools, an indoor track, various courts, diverse fitness classes, and amenities like childcare and spacious locker rooms. However, several issues are raised: new LED lights in the indoor pool are reported to be blinding swimmers, creating an unpleasant experience. Customer service is frequently criticized for being unhelpful and for implementing policy changes perceived as unfair or financially motivated, particularly concerning student memberships. There are also requests for more Pilates and yoga classes due to a recent sparse schedule. A serious complaint alleges racial discrimination by a manager.

We had a wonderful experience visiting and signing up for a membership for my wife and myself at the Germantown Athletic Club. Erica guided us on a detailed and informative tour of the facility to show us all the amenities and services that this fitness club provides. I am very impressed with the weight room, indoor track, fitness classes, indoor and outdoor pools, cardio and strength training equipment, basketball court and the Racquetball Court. There are many other benefits and services available including workout areas, group fitness classes, spacious locker rooms, gymnasium, child care for children and personal trainers to assist in helping you to reach your goals. I highly recommend Germantown Athletic Club for your physical fitness and health needs,
Indoor pool got new LED lights that are angled toward swimmers face blinding everyone in pool. Very unpleasant experience now. We are all complaining but we're told nobody can fix it. I hope the lights can be fixed to better serve the people patronizing the nice facility . I know you can't go back to the old lighting but please stop shining the high beams in our eyes!
The Manger kicked us out because we were white and she was a black racist
facilities are great, customer service is horrible and they don’t wanna work with you. They will also try to be lucrative and switch policies on you to make you get certain contracts. I am a student who is only home on the holidays and if I want a membership I can only get one with a 99 dollar application fee as well as the monthly membership. I had a membership all through my high school years and loved it, it’s a shame they want 150 for 1 month usage now.
Clean facilities, great classes, etc. Please bring back more Pilates and yoga classes. The January class schedule is very sparse…What happened?
