We had a great time! The amenities were well kept and the staff worked hard to keep things orderly in the pool areas. We've stayed at Ocean Lakes and Apache, and this is by far our favorite Myrtle Beach oceanfront campground. Only drawback was the site was mostly dirt, but given it was a shaded site that is somewhat expected. We'll be back, and for a much longer stay next time.

We had an amazing time. Our second visit and we already have a third planned. I never thought I would enjoy a resort style campground but the proximity to the beach made it worth it. Options are available for all types of campers. Our sewer cap/pipe was broken and someone responded within a minute of hanging up the phone. They sent out the cavalry and had it dug up and replaced in about 15 minutes. Amazing customer service. A lot of amenities.

Great for the kids! They loved the water park and golf cart parade every night! For myself? It’s s too crowded on the beach! Location was great though! You miss the Myrtle Beach traffic, yet anything you need is a very short drive away! It was my kids all time favorite place to vacate! For me, it’s all about the kids and making memories!!!

Clean campground with plenty to do. The beach was much quieter and less crowded than I expected, and the amenities were well kept. We had a shaded site for our RV and it was far enough from the pool to be quiet all day. The staff was all friendly and helpful, and we noticed multiple inspectors visiting the facilities during our stay. Lakewood is about as good as it gets!

We've been camping at Lakewood several years! Is it a perfect resort....no but, there is no perfect resort/motel/hotel/campground. However, Lakewood comes really close to perfect for our family and we've made a lifetime of memories here that we'll treasure forever. The amenities are great! The food was great again this year, and a good option if you choose not to leave the resort. The coffee shop was the highlight of my morning routine! The gift options at the camp store suit all ages. All in all we love this place! We plan to visit as long as we're physically able. Thank you for allowing us to share your land to make these memories, especially at an affordable price!
