Outdoor splash park featuring slides and sprinklers; attended by helpful staff.
As a spray park, Wheeler Spray Park typically uses unheated, ambient municipal water for its features. Specific pool temperature data is generally not available, as the water is not temperature-controlled like a traditional swimming pool.

This was by far my favorite splash park so far. You can get confused with the online registration stuff though. So, out of county residents DO NOT register online. You have to buy tickets upon arrival. Tickets were only $6 for adults and $4 for kids and so worth it. There are plenty of areas to sit. Bring blankets to sit on the grass and watch your kids play. This splash pad was creative and it had a variety of fun slides and sprinklers; It really was impressive. Downside can be parking. If you arrive later on in the day, parking will be challenging on side roads. Overall, I love how these splash parks are popping up everywhere and kids from all communities can share in the fun. You get to see new surrounding areas and meet new people. My daughter made 2 new friends at this splashpark.
Great fun. Lots of turf to find a great spot and just watch your kiddos. Facility is clean. Staff is kind. Parking is plenty (small lot but convenient street parking. Bring snacks for when your kids get hungry 😀
We take our daughter here regularly for some fun in the sun during the summer months and its wonderful. As we are in county, the cost to get in is only a couple bucks a person. The staff have been wonderful and very heads up with lots of little kids running around. Pro-tip: Go during the week if you can swing it. Weekdays are MUCH less crowded than weekends. They do have snacks and drinks available. No alcohol is permitted, however they do allow you to bring your own snacks and drinks. There are grassy areas to setup chairs and towels. Highly recommended.
A really fabulous spray park. The sprinklers and slides are exciting. I went with a few kids of different ages (infant, toddler and teenager) and there was enough for everyone to enjoy. There is a small dry playground for kids to play while drying off. A lot of space to sit. Very nice layout allowing a lot of access to the spray ground while watching the kids and walking around. Three important notes: 1. There is not enough parking so prepare to park on the street. Some employees park on the grass but if a visitor parks there they will call the cops and tow/ ticket. 2. They have a very limited capacity. It makes the experience better (since it won’t get overcrowded) but it means that if you arrive after it’s full you will have to WAIT UNTIL ANOTHER GROUP LEAVES. This could be any amount of time. We waited about 15 minutes but within the hour after we got in the line had tripled in length. It was hot with nowhere to sit while waiting. I’m assuming Sundays are extra crowded (we went on a Sunday) but I think this is generally an important detail to keep in mind. Try to get there when they open or prepare for a long wait, help prepare your kids to have patience and bring snacks or activities to do while waiting. 3. There is little to no shade. Bring chairs or blankets and umbrellas because it gets very sunny. Despite all this we had a wonderful time and like I said, limiting the capacity means that once you’re inside it’s a very pleasant experience with a nice staff to guest ratio and not too much overcrowding. Oh, they also don’t allow balls or glass, but they do provide a room to put them so if you forget you don’t have to go back to the car and lose your spot to get in, but I would just avoid bringing those. It’s a gated off spray park so there isn’t really any space or use for other toys.
Such a wonderful splash water park for children. My daughter and her friends love it, we are here every summer. I don't mind paying the small entrance fee. Just remember to bring your folding chairs, or blankets to sit on the grass. Snacks for the children and sit back, relax and have fun!
