What are people saying (AI review summary)? This park offers a mix of updated and neglected amenities. Positives include an updated playground with a well-maintained jungle gym, large open spaces suitable for sports and picnics, and a generally well-kept and clean environment with ample trash cans and parking. The 9-hole disc golf course is described as easy, flat, and good for practice, though it consistently lacks proper signage. However, the park's pool, once praised for its features and rental options, is now permanently closed, reportedly vandalized, and considered an 'eyesore,' causing visitors to seek pools elsewhere. Other facilities, such as the baseball diamonds, are rundown, with some now restricted for private league use, and the tennis courts are in disrepair, needing new nets and resurfacing. Access to the park can be challenging due to narrow neighborhood roads caused by street parking. There is a strong desire from the community for the city to invest in and revitalize the park, particularly its neglected pool and sports facilities.

This is a perfect swimming pool, with a diving board, decent sized water slide, and a baby pool with a sprayer. With the ability to rent the pool after hours for a very reasonable price earns Sun Valley its 5 stars Sitting on top of the hill of an updated playground that sits next to 2 baseball diamonds. Though the baseball diamonds are a bit rundown you have large open space to run around and play sports with a handful of picnic areas two throw parties, have family reunions, get-togethers, and picnics.
Well kept and clean. Lots of trash cans and parking. The local pool was closed for the season so not a lot of traffic. Disc gold course was super easy but has no signage.
Nice small little park. I came for the disc golf. Which is an okay course. Ever hole (is that what they are called) was pretty much just practice distance throwing. Nice little half course for practice. Oh, but some kids got in the way and messed up my buddy when we went. The park itself is hard to get too as it's down a neighborhood and so many people park on the street it's pretty much a one lane road. They do have a baseball and soccer field. There was also a closed up pool that looked vandalized and graffiti'd. And a playground.
Really wish the city would invest in this park because it has a lot going for its self and community. The pool has been closed permanently which they need to replace it. I hope they don’t just let it be an eyesore because the city doesn’t want to invite in this part of the city. Guess we’ll be taking our money to LaVista and papillon pools. Also, the tennis courts need new nets and resurfaced. The baseball fields seem to be rented out to a private league and have been blocked from public use. The jungle gym is in great condition!
Decent little 9 hole Disc Golf course. It's never very busy and easy to navigate, though some signs would be great. Completely flat course if you're looking for a good one to practice at.
