Welcoming and wonderful! We see active yoga groups, and people using the gym. We love the pool and water slide!!! Great place with chill community who respect each other. Always a pleasant experience.
I come here 2-3 times a week for Tae Kwon do, swimming and working out in the gym. Because of this community center i have met a non profit group called Adapted Sports. They give physically disabled people the ability to work out and do sports in a safe and adapted way for my injuries.
Friendly staff. Very clean facility. The staff answered all my questions. I toured the facility and was very impressed with the classes and different things that were available to do Water yoga and weights and water aerobics classes and workout equipment were just a few things that are offered here Very impressive. I will be signing up for classes. Come by and check it out .
This is a clean, well maintained center with an amazing pool and recreation facility. I love taking classes and relaxing in the hot tub with other welcoming people.
Nice spot, good parking, welcoming atmosphere & cordial, polite staff. The cost/price to make use of the facility is criminally cheap. While I didn't explore the entire facility, but it felt vast, to say the least. The locker room was adequate & tidy, with nothing in disrepair & no empty paper towel dispensers (I arrived only 90 minutes before close on a Friday evening). The fact it remains open until 9pm, an hour later than several other portland community centers, is noteworthy. The gym/workout facility is well-equipped, with sufficient free weights (dumbells, & those kettle things), with a nice rack/cage for squats & deadlifts etc. Two nicely equipped cable stations as well, with a decent leg press, & obligatory leg extension & curl machines. Adequate stretching area with necessary accouterments, and MORE than enough treadmills & stationary bikes (honestly, overkill IMHO, but people do use these things, just because i loathe them, they always seem too numerous to me) in addition to a handi-capable treadmill (I've never seen one of these before anywhere in my life, but it looked quite cool, for any chair bound person seeking equipment adequately tuned to their specific scenario). The area did feel as though there was perhaps 10% too much equipment for the alotted space, but I'd very much prefer that, to a space inadequately utilized, & lacking in equipment where room was available for it. 4 stars just because in a building this spacious, shoe-horning the fitness area into such a small area of square footage is poor planning & utilization at its zenith.
