Public swimming pool offering volleyball.
Specific pool temperatures for the West Reading Pool are generally not publicly advertised. As a seasonal outdoor public facility, its pools are typically unheated, with water temperatures varying based on ambient air temperature and sun exposure throughout the operating season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed, highlighting both positive developments and significant concerns. Many praise the impressive improvements over the years, the general cleanliness of the facility and bathrooms, and the friendly staff, especially at concessions where food is noted as yummy and reasonably priced, with fried pickles being a particular favorite. Amenities like the big pool, kids' pool, basketball, volleyball, shade, and picnic tables are appreciated, and many report their children enjoyed their visit. However, a major point of contention is the admission pricing, with several guests finding it too expensive, especially for children or non-locals, and some criticizing advertised price discrepancies as a 'scam' or 'unprofessional.' Other concerns include a perceived insufficient number of lifeguards relative to the number of children, and some visitors found the pools to be merely 'okay' or 'basic,' lacking a 'spectacular' element. Minor inconveniences like having to ask for ketchup were also mentioned.

I would love to start by saying the change of this pool in the past couple of years is impressing. Once concern I have is not enough lifeguards when the pool is open. There are so many kids running around and two lifeguards on duty. The concession staff always has smiles on their face! I’m always greeted when going to get my water refilled. The prices are reasonable and in expensive. They don’t have ketchup out which is annoying to ask for but the staff is friendlier then years in the past it looks clean and food is yummy. Management wise haven’t seen a problem so far this year. I know the manager is new so lots of potential.
Been going here since I was a little girl been there last year for the first time in forever but this time went with my kids and they loved it, I am planning on going back this week. The price is a bit pricey but I’ma still pay lol
I was charged $18 for a baby that can’t swim. I just think that is a lot for children in general honestly. The pools are okay, really nothing spectacular going on. It was clean and wasn’t packed for a Friday. Basic
It's total B's the place is unprofessional and the prices are a scam. If you're not from there it's 20$ but the adds say 13 it's a waste of time totally sucks
Staff is always friendly. Great big pool. Nice kids pool. Has basketball hoop and volleyball. Has picnic tables and shade. Bathrooms are clean. Two tokens of advice: don’t wear clothes in the pool & bring $5 for fried pickles. The pickles are the best I ever have had!
