The Wyomissing Swimming Pool, located at 901 Evans Ave, Wyomissing, PA, is a popular community outdoor swimming facility operated by the Borough of Wyomissing. It typically features a main pool, a diving well, and a separate wading pool, serving as a recreational hub for residents during the summer months.
Specific pool temperatures for the Wyomissing Swimming Pool are not consistently published. As a typical outdoor municipal facility, the pools are generally unheated or rely on natural solar heating, meaning temperatures fluctuate with ambient weather conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed, with some positive feedback about it being a great place for friends and family and a nice way to start summer. However, there are significant negative comments regarding operational issues, management, pricing, and access policies. Several users expressed frustration with inconsistent entry requirements based on ID, despite confirmed membership. A new pool manager, Gianna Witmer, and her staff, particularly teenage lifeguards, were criticized for an unpredictable lap lane policy, lack of professionalism, and poor communication, leading to disappointment for lap swimmers. Additionally, patrons are upset about the discontinuation of military discounts, increased entry fees (from $5 to $8-$10), and a new residency requirement, arguing that a 'public pool' should be accessible to all.

Great pool to bring friends and family
A very nice way to start the summer fun on a nice sunny day!
Nice place. Just don’t appreciate that I alway have issue’s entering just because my ID says West lawn. I have asked the Wyomissing borough many time which pool I belong to and the answer is always Wyomissing pool. I wish they would take there time to explain to the staff that it does not only have to say Wyomissing to belong to the pool.
Very disappointed with the pool management this year. I joined primarily to swim laps, and the new manager, Gianna Witmer, put an unpredictable policy into place where the life guards can put in the lane line "at their discretion". While sounding reasonable, in reality this resulted in the lane line never being put in, with the teenage lifeguards dreaming up any reason they can think of to not have to get off of their phones. When myself and others attempted to discuss this issue with Gianna, she refused to make eye contact or definitively answer any questions. We were never notified that the lane line policy was changing prior to paying for our membership. This type of disrespectful behavior and blatant immaturity is inexcusable, and I do not plan on returning to a pool that tolerates such lazy and immature behavior by their staff. The Parks & Recreation manager, Pete Beck, was similarly apathetic.
Used to go there all the time. They used to give Military Discounts then they stopped that, then they charged $7 to get in from the regular $5 within a month of opening. Now you have to be a resident of Wyomissing??!! (Oh or a guest with a Wyomissing resident, but pay $10 instead of the now $8!!) I think it's ridiculous that pools keep being allowed to do this. A PUBLIC POOL should be a PUBLIC POOL!!!! Very very upset at the owners of this pool this year!!!! I hope they keep sending lots of business!!!! 😡👎🏻👎🏻
