Family water park with water slides and a splash pad, plus shaded seating.
Information consistently indicates that the water at Buccaneer Cove is generally not heated and can be quite cold, even during warmer months.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Castle Park's water attraction is largely perceived as an oversized splash pad or water playground, making it a good spot for younger kids to cool off on hot days rather than a traditional water park. Visitors value its convenience for local residents and the availability of amusement rides and mini-golf (for an additional fee). While many find it a fun experience for children, common criticisms include some water slides not working effectively, certain water guns being potentially unsafe for toddlers, high food prices, and young staff who may lack complete information. Reviewers strongly recommend arriving early for shade, reserving a cabana in advance, and bringing a small umbrella.

I thought this was going to be more of a water park but it turned out to be an oversized splash pad for kids. The good thing about it was is the option of being able to ride rides in the amusement side or play a round of mini golf (additional fee). Food is a little bit pricey, all the employees are mostly kids so you need to be patient as they don't always have the answers to the questions. I'm still giving a five-star rating because the experience itself was fun for the kids. If you're going to the water side of Castle Park I highly recommend getting a cabana it's worth it in the end.
It's definitely worth getting there early to get shade. The cabanas are to be reserved in advance. If you sit in them and you don't have the wrist band for it. Staff will ask you to move. It's a good idea to bring a small umbrella if you will be sitting in the sun. You can get wet and sit back down to cool off during very hot days. Kids love this place.
Great place to take younger kids to play in the water. They have changing booths so you can put on regular clothes afterwards to enjoy the ride park.
It's a nice place to beat the heat and enjoy some sun but as far as the water playground i was not impressed. First, the red and green water slide do not slide. I watched every kid struggle to make it down the slide without having to use their own force. Second, there are two water guns that kids could use and i felt they were dangerous as my two year old kept getting sprayed in the face with a sharp stream of water which possibly could cause and eye injury. I really hope with some minor tweaks they can make this place safe and enjoyable water playground.
Great place to get wet in hot weather. Close to home for the riverside residents *bonus* be aware if you are parents and some little 5 years old cuts in line infront of you. Please do not go Huhh that so cute. I love castle park too.
