Seasonal city-operated pool featuring year-round lap swimming, plus slides and a splash pad.
The pools at Fontana Park Aquatic Center are typically heated to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable swimming experience for visitors. While specific, exact temperature figures for each individual pool (lap pool vs. recreation pool) are not explicitly detailed in readily available public resources, community aquatic centers commonly maintain recreational pools in the range of 82-86°F (28-30°C) and lap pools slightly cooler, usually between 78-82°F (25-28°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park and its aquatic center receive generally positive feedback, with many visitors praising the park's peaceful atmosphere and children's play area. The aquatic center is highlighted as a fun destination for families, offering water slides, diving boards, and pools, and is considered a great venue for birthday parties due to flexible policies (e.g., bringing own music, refrigeration for cakes) and friendly staff. However, a significant concern regarding safety and supervision was raised by one reviewer, detailing an incident during swim lessons where lifeguards and staff were reportedly inattentive to a child in distress, requiring parental intervention. This suggests an inconsistency in staff vigilance, despite overall positive comments about their friendliness.

I liked this park very much! I didn't go to the aquatic center just the park. Sat under a tree and did some work. Peaceful, quiet. Nice play area for the smaller children. I'll have to go back and explore some more! Highly recommend!!

Great time with the kiddos, my kids loved it here. They enjoyed the water slides, diving boards and the pools. Always fun, had a blast.
No one’s paying attention to the kids Today was our first day of swim lessons. We came from another venue because her level wasn’t available. 1. The kids are hanging on to the wall for 30 minutes. The ages and heights vary. My daughter is too short to stand comfortably in 4’6” of water. 2. While my daughter is waiting for her turn, she’s practicing floating. All was well until she got too far from the wall. She can’t stand up and couldn’t make her way back to the wall. 3. No one’s paying attention. I literally get up from the stands, headed towards the pool, yelling for them to help my daughter. The nearest lifeguard guard was in lala land. The teacher was with another student. Another life guard noticed and was SLOWLY coming from the other side. By the time he made it over, I was already there yelling and the teacher reached out to grab her and pull her to the wall. A whistle should’ve blown or some indication that a child was in distress. My child is fine. I spoke to her about the need to hold on to the wall, the water is deep and lack of anyone paying attention. No one said anything to me. Everything just continued as if my daughter was never in possible danger…
