About

Cotillion Gardens RV Park, located at 300 Old Big Trees Rd, Felton, CA, is a family-friendly RV park nestled in a redwood setting. It offers a variety of amenities including full hookups, laundry facilities, a clubhouse, and a dog park, making it a popular choice for those visiting the Santa Cruz area and nearby Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.

The RV park features a heated pool, which operates seasonally. However, specific temperature values for the pool are not typically advertised or readily available to the public.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This park is frequently described as a 'hidden gem' and a 'nature campsite,' praised for its direct access to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, proximity to Santa Cruz, and beautiful redwood surroundings. Visitors appreciate the generally fantastic and super nice staff, well-kept grounds, and the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. It's highly recommended for families and those with dogs, offering amenities like a heated pool and spa (when open), clean restrooms/showers, a clubhouse, playground, and dog park. However, several reviews highlight that it can be pricey, with concerns about high costs for tent spots without hookups and extra charges for infants. There have been issues with amenities, such as hot tubs being closed or pools closing early, and strict check-out times. Some cabin experiences were negative due to lack of hot water and inadequate compensation. While campsites are generally well-maintained, some RV spots are noted as being quite tight. Roads leading to the park are curvy and narrow, requiring attention. Despite some drawbacks, many consider it a great base for exploring the area and worth the cost for the unique natural escape it offers.

Just got done staying a week here. Very well kept campsites. Some are really tight. We were in 40 and were happy with it. Very quiet and peaceful. Super nice employees. My only gripe is how small the back bathroom is. It needs to be extended like 2 feet so the stall door isn’t in your face or even cut it down to one toilet. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and a great base for exploring the area.

Ive been visiting Santa Cruz for decades and had never checked this place out. Boy was I missing out on a hidden gem! With direct access to Henry Cowell and a short drive to town there’s plenty to explore. The staff is fantastic, grounds kept clean, and the redwoods are gorgeous.

Lovely place, but never before I paid for a 9 months old baby, not even when we are eating in restaurants. So yes, every extra person (kids) costs and 80$ for a small tent spot without electricity or water is crazy. They close the pool 6pm, and God forbid you will pass your check out time. Hot tub was closed today, so don’t feel that we got what we paid for.

I’m a lifelong visitor of this place. It’s always been known for being a little hidden gem with at times snobby camp hosts. However, if you have kids or dogs this place is hands down the best place to stay. Heated pool and spa, clean restrooms and showers, fun clubhouse with games, neat playground, cute dog park, very quiet despite being packed at times. Forest access with a short walk to the Henry cowell park and train station. It can get pricey but it is worth the stay to feel like you’re escaping and yet still nearby Santa Cruz. Docked a couple of stars because management only discounted $10 off an almost $400 cabin stay (2 nights). When we arrived our cabin didn’t have hot water so we ended up having to shower in the community shower which defeated the purpose of renting a premium cabin… maintenance ended up fixing the water heater the following evening but it still put a major damper on our trip as we had to microwave several cups of hot water to bathe our newborn and wash her bottles. Sad that they only took off $10 for the inconvenience that took up precious time from our trip. You’d think maintenance would check to ensure the cabins are in full working shape before renting them out…

We had an awesome stay at cotillion rv park. It's true that spaces could be tight, We have a 25' trailer with a 19' truck but it fits perfectly. The neighbor was a little close to our right side just because they have slide outs. We are at site 23, it has full hookups and is well maintained, with an old picnic table and also a metal fire ring. It has easy access to hiking which we took advantage of, walking to the san Lorenzo river and Old train trestle bridge. The roads going to the park are curvy and narrow but the view is astonishing but make sure you pay attention because a lot of hikers and bikers park around the area and it is close to henry cowell redwoods state park. We will be adding this to our favorite rv campsite and probably visit again and stay a Little longer. One more thing, this rv camp site is a nature camp site and not a luxury camp site, stop comparing it to those sites, this site is perfect as it can be if you want to be around trees and nature. 👍
