Ms. Bella Z is great instructor. She sees my 3yrs autistic son every Saturday since last summer. My son didn’t know how to swim independently until he started with Bella. When they both met my son felt comfortable with her and his swimming has improved a lot. He gets really excited every Saturday because he knows he will have a good time with her. If someone ask me about a swimming school I recommend, I will say Roots Aquatics with Bella! 😂☺️ I hope she wins the price because she definitely deserves it and I thank her for all the work she does for my son!
I am a Registered Behavior Technician and support my client in his community sessions where he swims with his instructor Bella. From the start Bella did an amazing job pairing with him, understanding his unspoken needs and wants and making accommodations for his disability. We even tried working with a different instructor one day for a makeup and it did not go well because the bond Bella has with my client is what gets him in the water. She does a great job offering different play opportunities to keep him engaged. She uses his preferences to motivate him and is very patient. At the start of swim lessons the child required myself and his mom to get in the water to feel safe. Now after just a couple months he grabs Bella’s hand and walks into the pool himself because she has helped give him the confidence to not need us. I will personally be recommending swim lessons with Bella to other families I work with that wants to teach their child with Autism how to swim.
Miss Dani is my daugher’s swim instructor this fall! This is the first time this fall she goes in the water without me . My daughter went from a 3 foam pieces on her swim belt to one and 1/2 foam pieces within a little over two months. She’s only 2 1/2! Thanks Miss dani for giving my daughter some great life skills!
We have been going to Roots for swim lessons since June. Our daughter is usually a student of Ms. Sadie, but Ms. Martha filled in last week. Both instructors are great and so patient with our 3 year old. She looks forward to every lesson! We highly recommend Roots! #RootsofGratitude
Sadie has worked with our son for the past couple of sessions and he has gained so much confidence and is now able to swim independently! He loves coming to swim class and has a great time every week. #RootsofGratitude
