I joined in January 24. Tried a couple of gyms before but the atmosphere was more cocky than friendly and helpful so I wasn’t sure how this would go. From the first class I took to the questions I ask everyone has been kind, helpful and never treats any member like they’re a bother. They want you to succeed in your fitness journey, whatever it is. I’ve never looked back.
Started going to Champions in Feb 2025, I was so nervous and wasn’t sure if I would like the gym life. I love it! The owner Christy treats you like family. She makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The trainers are fantastic! I ended up signing up for a personal trainer and it was the best decision. I Matched with trainer Jen and she is amazing and gives me the best workout plans as well as a meal guide. The childcare is top notch too! My son goes to the morning childcare and he looks forward to going every week, Megan is great!
I have been going to Champions on and off for ten years but more frequently in the last few years. They are a fantastic local gym and the staff I've come to know very well and can call them friends. I've know the owner Christy and her husband for the better part of 15 years and they make it a point to know members by name as well as their stories and backgrounds. Christy is also my personal trainer and she has not only whipped me into shape (I know because I get several compliments on how great I have been looking lately) but she has always been very accommodating when it has come to rescheduling and questions regarding workouts outside of my sessions. The majority of regular members there are also very friendly. I've recently taken my mom, who suffers from Alzheimers, to a couple of Senior Strength classes with Laurie Beth and I witnessed some of the class members being very helpful and patient while she tried to keep up. They're also very active in the community, doing a lot of charity work for the Alzheimers Association and animal adoption events. The facility offers a huge variety of classes, including pool classes, and the dry sauna is my favorite way to end my workout. They are a wonderful, inviting atmosphere for people who are serious about wanting to be healthy without fear of being ostracized. I can't say enough good things about how well they've treated me over the years and I encourage people to sign up. Their prices are competitive and more than reasonable.
I’m grateful to have been a member over 10 years and now can share this with my son. He has started his own membership and really enjoys his personal training. This gym has so much to offer. Not to mention the pool class on Thursdays is so much fun!
Joined Champions in 2009. Never belonged to a gym, saw something in weekly paper about Champions $ fact that they had a pool. Was having issues with my core & decided to join.. Long story short I still take pool classes & love them. A little over a year ago, I decided to join the over 60 Senior Strength class on Tuesdays too. I feel so much better all over.
