Great community pool in a unique location, tucked away outside of the town. Pool is great for younger children, but offers a lane for lap swimming, and a deeper section with a diving board. Separate baby pool is not guarded by a lifeguard, however.
Broadmead is a uniquely peaceful and friendly swim club. It is walking distance from town and from residential neighborhoods, but is hidden away in among the shade trees on a quiet street. It's rarely crowded so I always feel like I can unwind, but members are friendly and I often find myself in interesting conversations. Our little kids love it, too.
I have been a member since 2007. As the other reviews say, it is an excellent pool to join if you have small children. But my kids have continued to enjoy the pool as they have gotten older. It is great for cooling off at the end of the day, swimming laps, reading, picnics, meeting up with friends, and even naps.
A lovely installation. The lap lane is a dream, mornings. The social atmosphere is so pleasant, fine neighbors having the time of their lives. I cannot imagine a summer in Princeton without regular visits to Broadmead.
Each summer brings many things to look forward to, but at the top of the list is Broadmead Swim Club. It has lovely gardens and the overall feel of a pool in your backyard - without all the fuss and worry. For most of the summer lap swims are offered 7:30-9am three a mornings a week and I cannot think of a better way to start my day. For the last two years yoga classes have been offered with no extra cost for members. There is a little free library, an abundance ofcomfortable attractive lounge chairs, a sunny side, a shaded side with picnic tables and a baby pool. A favorite of families and empty nesters - an all around terrific neighborhood pool.
