What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this community pool are mixed, highlighting both positive and negative experiences. Patrons appreciate the family-friendly environment, amenities like a waterslide and kiddy pool, and some describe the lifeguards and staff as friendly, helpful, and safety-conscious, especially during organized events. However, significant dissatisfaction stems from operational issues and customer service. Frequent complaints include the pool being rarely open, having insufficient operating hours, and swim times being too short, which many feel does not justify the cost. Several instances of poor customer service were reported, including staff being dismissive, rude, denying restroom access to taxpayers, and ignoring patrons at the front desk. Taxpayers express frustration over funding a facility that provides limited access and inconsistent service, calling for better access, improved service, and a greater return on their investment.

I was using the basketball court and asked to use the pool's restroom, only to be told by the front desk that it's “for paying customers only” and that I should walk to the library instead. As a homeowner and taxpayer in this town - whose taxes help fund that facility and, frankly, that staff member’s salary - I find that response both dismissive and unacceptable. It’s already frustrating enough that we’re paying for a pool that’s rarely open. The community deserves better - better access, better service, and a better return on our tax dollars.
It's a nice place & they are an indoor establishment with a waterslide & a separate kiddy pool, but they are not open long enough & the swim times are way to short, always have been especially for the amout of money you're paying for such a short period of time.
I love coming here with my family. It is so well organized during swim meets and all of the lifeguards are friendly and helpful. Although the place is older, they do their best to keep everyone safe.
Took my family to swim. We've never gone to a public pool before. Kids were so excited, but there was nobody at the front. Two lifeguards were in view next to each other staring at us. We stood and waited over 10 minutes to pay so we could swim, but they did not come to the front. In fact, one waited until we all started to walk out before she came up to the front. She said "have a nice day" as we walked out. At that point, we didn't want to spend our money there. Rude service. Decided to drive to the river as we are halfway there at this point. Such a shame.
very friendly staff, my kids love stayton pool.
