What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Niskayuna Town Pool generally garners positive reviews, celebrated for its family-friendly environment, cleanliness, and ample amenities. These include a well-maintained main pool with a dive well, a separate toddler wading pool, shaded picnic areas, a playground, changing rooms, and a snack bar. Many visitors commend the lifeguards and staff for being numerous, attentive, kind, and effective in maintaining rules and ensuring safety. Its location, surrounded by trees, is also noted for providing a pleasant atmosphere. However, one significant negative review highlights a concerning experience where a Muslim visitor felt targeted and subjected to unfair, stricter rule enforcement compared to other patrons, raising issues of double standards and the need for equitable treatment. The pool is exclusive to Niskayuna residents (with guest allowances) and offers swim lessons and a swim team.

I’m extremely disappointed with the experience at this pool in Niskayuna. As a Muslim visitor, I felt targeted and treated unfairly compared to others. Staff appeared to enforce rules more strictly on Muslim families while overlooking the same behaviors from others. This kind of double standard is disheartening and unacceptable. Everyone deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and respected in public spaces, regardless of their race or religion. (I got proves too)
I think it’s nice here. Located little up the hill. Surrounded with trees so it gives it a nice breeze. Patio chairs and umbrella with shaded picnic benches. Also a small playground area. Pool is nice and clean. I love that they have enough lifeguards all around the pool and they also address rules so there’s no craziness but just good kids having fun.
This is a great family oriented Town pool located right off of Aqueduct Road in the town of Niskayuna New York. It is a fairly good-sized pool with a length of 25 yards and a dive well. Off to the side is a nice-sized enclosed child's pool with a depth of 1'. The main pool has a depth of 2' in the shallow end and 4' in the deep end. The dive well is 11' deep. There are two diving boards one a little bit higher than the other. There are four life guard posts surrounding the pool. There are changing rooms/ restrooms for men and women, and a snack bar that sells things such as ice cream, popcorn, Pizza, soft pretzels etc. (things that you would find in a pool snack bar). The staff is very nice and considerate. You can buy a season's pass at the beginning of the year (see website for pricing) or you can pay daily. The cost is $8 per adult and $5 per child (children under 2 and seniors over 65 are free) You must be a resident of Niskayuna. Every resident is allowed one guest. The pool hours are 12 until 7:45 Monday through Friday, and 11 until 7:45 Saturday and Sunday, from the middle of June until the end of July at which point the hours change to 12 until 6:45 Monday through Friday and 11 until 6:45 on weekends. The pool closes on Labor Day . The pool also has their own swim team called the Wild Turkeys. They are part of Suburban League swimming. On nights that swim meets are held at home, the pool closes at an earlier time. The pool also offers lessons to new swimmers and swimmers who would like to advance. Most of the swim instructors are also coaches for the swim team and lifeguards for the pool. I would recomend this pool to anybody.
Great smaller pool with diving well. Also there is a toddler wading pool.
Wish they had more paved areas rather than so much lawn, I always get a million bug bites. But the life guards are kind and helped my family. The pool is clean and well guarded.
