We started last year and weren’t blown away, but decided to come back this summer and try again. This time has been an amazing experience. The staff has went above and beyond with my son to make sure he is comfortable and progressing. His instructor Jesse pushes and encourages him. And their beautiful manager, Chelsea, greets us with love and a smile every time we enter the building. On my son’s first day, he was nervous and we scheduled him wrong so he wasn’t going to be able to swim. She introduced me to Z who helped get my enrollment together while Chels personally took my son to ensure he could start. She still gets in with him when she has the time, he is so proud of his progress, and I’ve seen her and her staff treat every other student the same. This place is great, give them all a raise!
First, all of the staff here are Amazing! Secondly, Brooklyn is fantastic. She really has helped build the confidence of my daughter. Let's just say, I cannot swim but after sitting for my daughter's classes, I may not have to learn to swim...she can always save me! 🤣
Great staff! They're friendly and accommodating... Ready to help. We have busy schedules and miss some of the mid-week classes for our youngest but they make switching classes seamless and never seem annoyed by "life". The facilities are ALWAYS so clean!!! Best of all our 3 boys LOVE it! We've been too other swim schools and the boys weren't as thrilled but they warmed up here within the first 2 sessions. Thanks Goldfish Decatur! Keep up the great work!!!
Unorganized poorly managed joke of a place!! Our 7 YO son has been taking private one/one lessons for 1.5 years; so we have been looking for him to join a swim team. We called Goldfish Swim School of Decatur on July 13, we were told that he was allowed go join their Swimforce class (which is their swim team) and they have availability on Wednesday evenings They emailed us information to sign up and the website allowed us to sign up for the following Thursday at 7:15 PM, because there was no classes to sign up for on Wednesdays. Once we arrived there on Thursday, they told us that thy are about to close and don’t know why their website allowed me to do that. They moved us to Sunday (which was fine) and gave us a credit. Sunday came, we went there early, given that my child has not been through their school to get him acclimated, meet the coach/teacher. I asked the front desk to speak to a manager or the coach to discuss. There was no one to be find, the guy at the desk on Sunday said "Swimforce was a mess." Class started and the teenagers in charge did nothing to help introduce my kid, nor talk to me ahead of the class as I asked nor acknowledge him. My kid started crying his eyes out. They had no clue that he was cry, I had to walk over to the door to get their attention to let them know. We ended up leaving and never going back. What an unorganized mess of a place. If you MUST come through their group classes to join the swim team, the website and the staff should be trained to be able to prevent people to go through all these drama. Stay away from this place. What a freaking poorly managed joke this place is.
Having come from somewhere that was significantly less professional, I am very happy for my kid to be at Goldfish. Clean, comfortable, with great instructors. Highly recommended.
