Wish that it was easier to navigate to tennis reservation page and calendar where that is done. Been here 30 years so that says how much we like it here!
Lakemount HOA is not homeowner friendly! Think twice if you plan to move here...I completely underestimated the trouble HOA can cause when I bought the house few years ago. I live in Lakemont now and risk the chance of selling the house myself to write this post but enough is enough. It is a nice and safe area with convenient location but the HOA itself is very dark and corrupted. Hope this post will reach to my dear neighbors, especially those who want to sell house due to the harassment from HOA. Time to reunite and change the HOA. I typically don't like to complain about neighbors but I'm so fed up with Lakemont HOA and need to do something with them! Yesterday was the last straw. I got a letter from HOA for claim of lien on my property due to some illegal fines I refused to pay. They sent me a $750 ticket last year for parking on the street for 30 days which was never a valid ticket. First of all, I did not park on the street for continous 30 days (maybe a week in and out sometime on the street) and they never provide any proof. Secondly, HOA cannot restrict parking on public street, period!! HOA cannot bypass laws and they do not have the authority on street parking. Board members and HOA managers like Rhonda Fleming hide behind screens and avoid questions like how they use the HOA fees from owners, why they pay internal family member for more expensive repair work than outside contractors, vote count from fee increase and rental restrictions amendment. Board members increased the annual due for everyone from $675 to $710 without getting 2/3 of the votes from owners and just voted "on behalf" of everyone with no good reasons! The reserve is high, the amendity usage is less than before, there's no expansion or major construction work need to be done. The whole organization has way too much power and the corruption is beyond my imagination! The Board member cross the street Donna Lawrence was probably the worst neighbor I've ever imagined. She and her husband constantly harassing neighbors in the area and interrupt our peaceful living. Seems they have no purpose in their lifes besides "patrolling" the neighbors and find problems for everyone. The sad part is so many nice people in the neighborhood are afraid of "bullies" like them and try to avoid the conflict (which i tried to do at first too). However our "weakness" only fueled the "bullies" aggressiveness and they are getting worse and worse! Time to reunite and make a change to this neighborhood and the HOA!
