What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool receives mixed feedback, often praised as a great, inexpensive, and uncrowded spot with ample tables and chairs, and the allowance of outside food. Many appreciate the structured adult swim times, which provide breaks for children. However, significant criticisms revolve around overly stringent rule enforcement by staff, with specific complaints about lifeguards being too strict regarding attire (e.g., t-shirts, string bikinis, a strict swimsuit-only policy that doesn't accommodate cultural or religious preferences) and general pool rules (e.g., no toys, children in the shallow end). Another major issue is the pool's frequent and unexplained closures, sometimes for extended periods, even during peak season when it is expected to be open.

Great little pool. Lifeguard on duty was way too stringent in his application of the rules. (Why can't kids be in the shallow end with their parents during no kid time? Is the guy wearing a t-shirt to keep from getting sunburn harming anyone?) There are also rules against string bikinis or any toys in the pool.
I have been coming to the pool for 18 years, it has been good for the most part, sometimes you show up looking to cool off on a hot day only to discover the pool closed for the day with no explanation, this week I have noticed that it has been closed all week, this is a municipal pool that is supposed to be open thru Labor Day, this same thing occurred last year in early August, what gives?
My daughters and I love this pool we come here almost every weekend and we always try to obey the rules that been said; however, today for a reason one of the staff member a young lady with dreadlocks was extremely rude and the pool police staff members treat the public like kattles.
We had such a great time here. It's very inexpensive, not overcrowded, plenty of tables and chairs, and you can bring food. It was also cool that every 45 mins the kids had to get out of the large pool for the adults to swim for 15 mins, which gave us a chance to reapply their sunscreen and make them drink water. They have a small kiddie pool they can play in during adult swim too. I spoke to one of the lifeguards who told me it was a typical turnout, less than 50 people there. We found our new favorite swim spot!
This place is amazing but the only issue is that you HAVE TO HAVE SWIM SUIT It’s like strictly ! I’ve seen people come and they have their culture and like religion not to show their body and this place can not respect that they have to change the rule so they can respect people dressing way atleast ! Because it’s a struggle for those people wanting to come to a nice pool day here at Murphy but they just are strict about swim suit ! And guys with shorts and woman with bikini or swing shorts but oh well
