I purchased a 3 month membership for the summer just to bring my family to the pool. While there seem to be many redeemable qualities to this gym/pool facility, I can't in good conscience recommend any pool that can't or won't keep the water free from whatever green slimy globs are growing all over the walls, regularly breaking loose and floating throughout the pool. I'm talking quarter sized slime balls... Algae, I guess? The pool looks clean until you actually get in it. So I suppose that's probably why there's hardly ever anyone at the pool, which is what we enjoyed most about this place to begin with! The rest of the facility has pros and cons and clearly has been around for a few decades at least. But I didn't use anything besides the pool so I can't really weigh in on the other areas. It's less expensive than the YMCA or the Jambalaya Pool in Gonzales, but at least the pools there are clean! 😭

What a fantastic gym! Calloway's Health and Fitness has a real community feel, and I've met some amazing people here. The atmosphere is always positive and motivating, and the trainers are knowledgeable and supportive. Their classes are amazing! I feel like I'm part of something special here.

Whats with all these positive reviews?? This place is an absolute dump. It's the most depressing establishment I've ever set foot in my life. I don't think any money has been put into repairing this place for at least 20 years. Probably should have been shut down in the '90s. I got two day passes here, the first time it was $15 in the second time it was $20. Obvious scam but ok... Women's hot tub is broken and probably always will be, no hot water in the showers, roof over the pool is leaking mystery liquid... The women's locker room is terrifying, I thought Michael Myers was going to pop out of the showers at any moment. This place is an absolute crap hole. Just awful

By far my favorite gym. Great staff and a variety of workout rooms and equipment. Love how spacious it is to do my own thing without 90 people waiting in line for a machine.

I don’t have enough great things to say about Calloway’s gym! The staff is friendly, the equipment is up to date, the facility is always clean, the pool is huge … there is always plenty of room to work out, the classes offered are awesome! And the hours of operation are so convenient for my schedule! Also, they have rooms available to rent at reasonable prices parties and meeting rooms! 5 star review!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
